Use Your Mind For Weight Loss

We are always talking about superior ways that you can shed weight quickly. This next aspect can either make or break your weight loss program.
Although you may not believe it, visualization is an indispensable tool in your weight loss arsenal. While it’s easy to disparage this idea as some new-age mumbo jumbo, countless scientific studies have proven that positive self-visualization can lead to successful results.

Patients in hospitals suffering from sickness have shown surprising resiliency when they spent time each day imagining themselves to be healthy and strong. Other successful people, such as CEOs and executives, have attributed their success to visualization as well.

Visualization can be used to supplement your fitness and diet routine as well and this has been also been proven in countless scientific journals.

To begin visualizing a fitter, stronger doppelganger of yourself, you’ll first need to believe that this is possible. Since this has proven countless times, it should be easy enough to give visualization the benefit of the doubt.

You’ll want to be sure to block out any outside pressures that might make visualization difficult. Find a quiet room in your house or apartment and then turn of all the lights so that it’s just you and darkness.

Turn off all the phones in your house so you won’t be interrupted, then close your eyes. Start by breathing deeply and slowly in through your nose.

Then exhale just as slowly out through your mouth. If you would like to, then you could listen to some soft instrumental music.

Keep breathing and, in your head, start telling yourself that you’re thin, fit, healthy, and beautiful. This is very important and is some of the key ways to shed weight quickly.

While still following the same breathing pattern, close your eyes and start forming a mental image of yourself the way you look right now. Now, in your mind, start to mold that picture into what you want yourself to look like.

Watch as your stomach starts to shrink in and your muscles begin to tighten. Watch as the ab muscles you never knew you had start to form the quintessential six-pack that is a sign of a fit and healthy midsection.

Watch as the rest of your torso falls into place, forming muscles where there used to be fat.

Now focus on your arms. They go from being all flab to all fab. Your shoulders broaden, your forearms firm, and the fat just melts away.

Keep thinking about this newly reshaped you, then count backwards from ten.

Then open your eyes, clear your mind, and relax. You may be a bit winded so continue lying or sitting for another five or ten minutes.

You’ll find that this meditation session has helped you to feel better already, but keep this up at least three times a week following the same routine.

In time, you’ll find that the person in the mirror is starting to look more and more like the person in your head.
