Body Building Supplements – Are They Necessary?

The extremely serious body builders, not to mention the pros, take advantage of supplementation because of the extreme demands on the body. These supplements perform a wide variety of functions including replenishment of protein and enzymes, as well as providing nutrients for metabolism during peak demands of working out. Are you wondering if you should take them? Here are some of the supplements that are commonly taken by body builders.
One interesting supplement is growth hormone which many serious weight trainers like to use. The official designation for these hormones is HGH, and so that is what you'll find them called. This hormone is secreted in your brain/bloodstream by the Pituitary gland which is located in your brain. Unfortunately, this hormone declines quite a bit after the age of thirty. Most body builders are still going strong well into their thirties. There you have it, the main reason so many lifters like taking HGH. Natural HGH is more potent than manufactured, but the latter still gets the job done and is more than adequate. Creatine is another hugely recognized supplement used by perhaps most builders. This enzyme is important to muscle mass creation, and it's a substance that is natural found in your body. Stamina is crucial for some people who lift weights, and fortunately Creatine also helps your body in that area. Body building and weight lifting put an unusual demand on the body for creatine, and since the body does not create enough to handle that load, then there (may/could) be a need to supplement. This is why creatine is one of the most oft used body building supplements on the market. The best creatine supplements are made with dextrose and other amino acids.
Ecdy and Methoxy are two supplements commonly combined and sold under the name of anabolic flavones. This particular supplement works well when taken at the same time as protein supplements. They serve to give you more strength and are beneficial to your bodies hormones. Your body produces these hormones naturally but sometimes they need to be helped along through supplementation.
There's no getting around it, should you talk about or use the word, anabolic, then it's natural for folks to think: steroids. Not all uses of steroids is legal to use, to be sure. No worries, though, with using/taking these hormones as it is legal to do so. As with taking anything like this, be cautious and have your doctor clear you before supplementing.
Weight lifting sports including body building can place extreme demands on the body resulting in a need for support through supplementation. It's a question of additional nutritional support that body builders decide they would like to have. It comes down to performance and fulfilling the need to support the body under heightened and sustained conditions of physical stress. It's always great to exercise and be competitive, but do so in a safe manner by keeping in touch with your doctor about what you're doing. Don't start taking supplements just because you can buy them online. Make sure you take things that are safe.
