Freedom alert: "Occupy" protests may turn violent, followed by reactionary decline into martial law

(NaturalNews) The signs of escalation are unmistakable. In Oakland, Portland, St. Louis, New York, Denver and other cities, local authorities have begun a “crackdown” on Occupy protesters. A woman was raped at Occupy Philadelphia (http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlines/2011/11/woman-raped-at-occupy-philadelphia/), and BayCitizen.org is now reporting: “Labor organizers and community activists — including the husband of Mayor Jean Quan — are engaged in a desperate behind-the-scenes effort to prevent a violent showdown between police and protesters at the Occupy Oakland encampment.” (http://www.baycitizen.org/occupy-movement/story/last-minute-attempt-occupy-violence/) In Oakland, the city issued a cease and desist order for protesters to clear out, and similar declarations are being heard at other cities such as New York. But it’s obvious from the talk and demeanor of the protesters that many aren’t going to leave, no matter what! While this alone might already be a recipe for violence, there’s the far more concerning reality of undercover agent provocateurs who work for the government and who are hired to stir up violence! We’ve seen this over and over again, where government agents use persuasion engineering tactics to try to convince innocent protesters to throw pipe bombs, for example, or hurl rocks at windows and unleash a wave a violence. Slouching towards Martial Law The purpose of all this, of course, is for government to intentionally escalate the violence so it can justify a violent crackdown. This crackdown, in turn, might unleash even more violence as protesters fight back, at which point all the mainstream news media networks focus their cameras on the “bloodied police” (while ignoring the bloodied protesters), all while calling for government to “do something about it!” That’s how we end up living under martial law, of course. All it takes is one sufficiently hyped-up violent act for a city, state or even the federal government to issue a state of emergency followed by martial law. This is what they’ve been pushing for all along — they just need an excuse to enact it! Under martial law, all your rights and freedoms are suspended . The Bill of Rights, in other words, is put on hold, and the government could issue a nationwide ban on sales of gold, guns and ammo (among other things). Anyone caught possessing a simple pocket knife could be thrown in the slammer. Anyone caught trading in “contraband” (silver coins) could be arrested at gunpoint and dragged away to be interrogated. This is what’s coming in Amerika if we’re not careful. Martial law is the ultimate condition of government power, and it can stay in place for years . This is what the government wants — to strip away any remaining rights and powers of the People and concentrate those powers in the hands of the corrupt, fascist state. Remember: Even in North Korea, government agents don’t reach down your pants at the airport! Amerika has become the most obscene police state North Americans could have imagined, and under the stench of Napolitano, it’s only going to get worse. A call for peace In order for “Occupy” to achieve its aims, it must remain non-violent . Descent into violence would be an utter failure, and it would give the government the excuse it needs to end all Occupy protests and turn Amerika into a runaway police state nation. That’s why Occupy protesters must resist violence at every turn. They must resist bloodshed and even be willing to be bloodied themselves without striking back. This is the essence of peaceful protest against tyrannical empires. The “success” of such protests would be the national publicizing of government agents beating innocent non-violent protesters who don’t fight back. The emotional power of such imagery would turn the entire nation against the government and would rally millions more to join the cause. But the opposite is also true: If protesters become violent and begin shooting at police or striking back at them, the totally corrupt and morally inept mainstream media will, of course, just focus on acts of violence by the protesters and use that to push a national crackdown agenda. Martial Law may be coming soon In 2008, I publicly predicted riots in the streets would appear in America as the corrupt financial system began to crumble. Even at that time, I urged people to avoid violence and to work toward peace, not violence. Today, we are seeing signs that this situation is escalating. I am concerned that we may soon see eruptions of violence across the nation , fomented in part by government agents themselves. This means all the rest of us should prepare for martial law , because it seems increasingly likely to be arriving soon. How do you prepare for martial law? For starters, you stock up on all the items that will be illegal to buy or sell under martial law. Get squared away with gold and silver, for example. It could suddenly become extremely difficult to acquire, which would also make its value skyrocket in the underground economy. Secondly, make copies of all your important documents and keep them in a safe place (that’s also fireproof). Under martial law, you will be required to “show your papers” at frequent checkpoints, just like under Nazi Germany. And if you lose your documents, it will be a total nightmare to try to get new ones issued if you don’t have copies. Thirdly, speak out about the injustices taking place in America today. Why are the banksters given trillion-dollar bailouts while the People are burdened with billions in student loan debt that they are unable to repay? Why does government money go to the wealthy elite instead of helping the people it’s supposed to serve? Or, better yet, why does the Federal Reserve run the U.S. money supply in the first place? Why is government running every little detail of our lives, and reaching down our pants at the airport, and telling us that we can’t grow gardens in our front yards? If there is any conclusion to come out of these “Occupy” protests, it’s that big government is dangerous government . The only real way to protect our interests and our freedoms is to slash the size and power of government and thereby return power to the People where it belongs. There is only one Presidential candidate who believes this, by the way, and his name is Ron Paul. The media conspiracy against Ron Paul is now so arrogant and obvious that in the last debate, they only gave Ron Paul 89 seconds to speak during the entire debate! (http://www.infowars.com/ron-paul-gets-89-seconds-to-speak-in-cbs-debate/) This, it turns out, was a deliberate CBS News policy to try to muzzle the only presidential candidate who makes any sense at all. This is why mainstream media morons are humorously called presstitutes or “news whores” by those who are informed. CBS News might as well be called KGB News at this point, since it functions as nothing more than a dictatorial extension of corrupt state power. The mainstream media, you see, doesn’t want people to tell the truth. That’s why they won’t dare mention NaturalNews, for that matter. NaturalNews is to the mainstream media what Ron Paul is to the presidential debates — we tell the truth and appeal to the informed, rational thinking of free people who wish to break free from the shackles of government lies and propaganda. “Occupy” protesters want much the same thing — an end to crony capitalism and secret government deals that favor powerful corporations. They want real freedom and justice for all people, not the slanted, state-run “freedom lite” that government thugs like Janet Napolitano try to sell us through telescreen broadcasts that urge everyone to spy on their neighbors. America is on the verge of being won back … or lost forever… depending on which way this all goes. But violence will only lead to more government tyranny. Only peace can bring us out of this police state nightmare and move us toward the non-violent revolution that will be necessary to restore liberty and justice in America. Keep the peace, folks. It is the only way out of this mess.
Just launched: Surthrival Series features Daniel Vitalis, Health Ranger teaching lifesaving principles of urban preparedness

(NaturalNews) As protests continues to grow in major cities worldwide, those who are paying attention know that a time of rioting and collapse is fast approaching . European banks are on the brink of default, and a collapse in Europe will drag the U.S. even more deeply into its own downward spiral of financial insolvency. How long can the system hold out before we see massive protests, riots and even a “second American revolution” begin to unfold? More importantly, how will you not only survive the inevitable disruptions in basic resources (water, electricity, heating oil, local law enforcement, etc.) but how will you THRIVE through any crisis and always come out ahead? Real solutions for people who live in cities or suburbs My friend Daniel Vitalis is not only the founder of one of the most innovative nutritional supplement companies in America (www.Surthrival.com), he’s also an expert in primitive skills such as food foraging, fire starting, and shelter construction. One day as we were talking about primitive skills and the coming “reboot” of society (as he calls it), I asked the question, “Why isn’t there a course on preparedness and survival for people living in the cities or suburbs?” Most of the preparedness information available today is geared toward wilderness survival . But most people don’t live in the wilderness — they live in the city or surrounding suburbs. They might have a small yard to grow some veggies, but they don’t have huge acreage to go foraging for wild food, for example. They have a roof over their heads, but when the electricity and heating oil stops, they don’t necessarily know how to stay warm and well fed inside their house or apartment. In other words: How do city people survive the crisis that we all sense is coming? Introducing the Surthrival Series To help answer this question, Daniel Vitalis and I (the Health Ranger) put together a totally unique preparedness and survival course that teaches and even demonstrates the skills you need to survive in any city, suburb or even a ranch setting. Most importantly, this is not a “Rambo survival course” that tries to dramatize Man vs. the Wild . This is not a “run around a shoot everybody and be the last man standing” survival course. Instead, this is a thoughtful, thorough instructional course that focuses on the real skills you will need to survive and thrive: Skills like food preservation, bartering, staying warm in a cold climate, redundant systems for light and heat, how to deal with refugees who need help, how to rig your own non-lethal self defense weapons, and other valuable topics. Better yet, we don’t just show you the skills you need to thrive in any crisis, we share with you the principles of strategic thinking that will get you through almost any situation imaginable. We’ve packaged it all in an online course that you can watch instantly through NaturalNews.TV, our highly popular video site. This course consists of 10 online videos that you can watch on any PC or Mac, plus 3 downloadable audio files (MP3) that you can download and listen to on your iPhone, MP3 player or any computer. Click here for more details on the Surthrival Series course , available exclusively through NaturalNews.TV. What you’re about to learn may help keep you and your family alive How useful is the information you’ll find in this course? It could spell the difference between life and death. And yet, most people don’t know this information. They assume the tap water will always function; that the electrical grid will always be available; and that 911 emergency services will always respond. But in a breakdown scenario, none of these things are likely to be operational, leaving us all to fend for ourselves. How will you do that? The Surthrival Series gives you practical, low-tech solutions that really work to protect your safety, support your basic necessities, and keep you and your family warm and well fed. Here’s some of what you’ll learn in this information-packed course: • Why you need a Surthrival course: The most likely causes of disruption or collapse. • How you can feel more confident and prepared in facing the future with the skills and knowledge you need to stay safe. • Why society may be more fragile than you think, affecting banking and trade, food deliveries, municipal infrastructure and more. • Did you realize this? Urban planners never planned cities to suffer functional breakdowns. • Extraordinary tip: How to get FREE courses in emergency medicine , first aid, emergency rescue and much more — right in your own local community! • Why we are already IN the collapse. It has begun! • Why preparedness transforms fear into confidence. • How to stay balanced in being “prepared” for possible breakdowns in society while also remaining positive enough to stay confident. • How to prepare right now even if you life in an apartment or condo in a high-population city. • What simple source of carbohydrates you can store that will literally last for hundreds of years in storage . • How to use “counter thinking” to acquire supplies and resources when they are cheap and readily available. • Key barter items that are cheap now but will be almost invaluable in a collapse scenario. … learn all this and much more in the Surthrival Series . Click here for instant access (start viewing it immediately.) A wealth of survival and preparedness information at your fingertips In The Surthrival Series , you will also learn: • How to protect yourself from radiation, GMOs, petrochemicals, contaminated water and other planet-wide threats to your health. • Why modern society is so distorted that it promotes and favors sociopaths and narcissists — and why that will quickly shift in the post-collapse reality. • Why you should think about your stored food in terms of “thermal units” for heat and not just calories for powering activity. • Why SURVIVAL food is not HIKING food. And why granola bars are basically horse food ! • Why the water infrastructure in every major city is likely to suffer disruptions (or total failures) in almost any survival scenario. • Why to think seriously about the water supply of where you live: Huge regions of North America, Australia and other countries will quickly return to deserts in a collapse. • Why typical “survival kits” are just toys. They won’t keep you alive when you need them. Learn what works better. • Why most survival foods (MREs, etc.) are loaded with genetically modified vegetable oils and other garbage ingredients. • Why “people skills” are crucial survival skills. • Why a post-collapse world could actually lead to healthier people in the long run. • How to intelligently assess your local climate to prepare for the proper shelter and temperature variation. • How to survive in your home through any winter even without your furnace working! • How to source and easily assemble the Health Ranger’s secret light beam weapon for temporarily blinding groups of attackers — no one else is talking about this! • The four elements — earth, water, wind, fire — and what they have to do with Surthrival. • Why traditional “survival” foods are often extremely toxic and may even harm you! • Strategies for getting out of the city during a crisis, including finding alternative routes and practicing escape routes. • Great advice on light-producing devices which should always be in your carry kit. • Key strategies for redundancy for your most high-priority tools or systems. • Why you have to change your food buying habits when thinking about preparedness foods — you’ve got to aim for MORE calories in your food, not less. This is the opposite of the food purchasing habits people follow right now. • Inexpensive preparedness food items you can find at a regular grocery store. • Why merely STORING food isn’t a complete solution — you need to GROW food to live sustainably. Stored food is merely “transition” food, says Vitalis. • Which skills will suddenly become extremely valuable in a post-collapse scenario. Click here to learn even more about what’s in this course. (Watch the preview trailer!) Health freedom victory! Fairbanks, AK, city council votes to end water fluoridation

(NaturalNews) Sometimes organizing like-minded individuals, petitioning, and showing up to city council meetings to express your thoughts actually does make all the difference in instigating positive change. Health-conscious individuals from Fairbanks, Ak., recently achieved a huge health freedom victory when their city council voted almost unanimously to end water fluoridation. The decision followed concerted public outcry and presentation of the facts surrounding the health damage caused by consuming fluoride. Several years ago, the Fairbanks City Council created a “Fluoride Task Force” to investigate the issues surrounding fluoridation, and devise recommendations for whether or not to continue fluoridating the water supply. Composed of experts in chemistry, geochemistry, microbiology, medicine, and dentistry, the group eventually came to the conclusion that artificial water fluoridation puts the health of the population at risk, and should be stopped. You can read the full Fluoride Task Force report, which is full of credible, scientific evidence against the use of fluoride in water supplies, here: (http://www.ci.fairbanks.ak.us/documents/boardscommissions/fluoridetaskforce/20110425finalreport.pdf). Based on the recommendations of the group, Fairbanks Mayor Jerry Cleworth introduced Ordinance 5849, which outlaws the addition of fluoride to the city’s water supply system. After more than an hour of public testimony and deliberation at a recent hearing, which was mostly against the use of fluoride, the Fairbanks City Council voted 5-1 to end water fluoridation beginning on July 1, 2011. “There is no way to control how much (fluoride) a person drinks,” said Fairbanks resident Coert Olmsted at the meeting. He also cited credible information about how consuming fluoride internally, rather than having it applied topically, is highly toxic to the body. This incredible health freedom victory in Fairbanks represents a model by which residents of other cities and towns that fluoridate their water can help end it as well. You can do your part by forwarding the Fairbanks Fluoride Task Force report to your own city councils, and urging them to read and consider it. You can also propose that they set up independent task forces of their own to investigate fluoride, which if done honestly will come to the same or similar conclusions about the dangers of fluoride. Fukushima beyond point of no return as radioactive core melts through containment vessel
March 30, 2011 by
(NaturalNews) The battle to save the Fukushima nuclear power plant now appears lost as the radioactive core from Reactor No. 2 has melted through the containment vessel and dropped into the concrete basement of the reactor structure. This is “raising fears of a major release of radiation at the site,” reports The Guardian , which broke the story (http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/mar/29/japan-lost-race-save-nuclear-reactor). A former General Electric nuclear expert told The Guardian that Japan appears to have “lost the race” to save the reactor. The only feasible interpretation from this analysis is that radiation emissions from Fukushima could suddenly become much greater . It is also now obvious that the radioactive fallout from Fukushima will last for decades , if not centuries. Japan’s Prime Minister Naoto Kan last night admitted the situation at Fukushima remains “unpredictable.” Meanwhile, the presence of plutonium in soil samples is proof that the nuclear fuel rods have been compromised and are releasing material into the open atmosphere. (http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=CNG.35c2caa5efa0e183b7b38a2d0e2b7f40.191&show_article=1) But don’t worry (and don’t prepare) How many times were we told over the last two weeks that the Fukushima situation was solved? How many times were we assured there was “no danger” to the world? President Obama even went out of his way to tell Americans they should not prepare for anything, since there was nothing to worry about. Don’t acquire any potassium iodide, people were told. The situation is completely under control and nuclear power is safe, clean and green! That’s the GE spin machine talking, of course, and I don’t mean the spin cycle on your rusty old washing machine. It’s the network of corporate lies that has characterized the nuclear power industry for at least the last three decades. And now those lies are coming back to haunt us all. What’s next: Radioactive gas So what happens now that the fuel core from Reactor No. 2 has burned its way through the containment vessel and dropped to the concrete floor? It follows the laws of physics, of course: The super-heated nuclear fuel reacts with the concrete material in the floor, producing highly radioactive gas which now runs the risk of escaping into the atmosphere if it gets through the outer containment wall. But that’s precisely the problem, you see. The outer containment wall was partially destroyed by the original hydrogen gas explosion that rocked Reactors 2 and 3. So we may be looking at a situation right now where there is nothing in the way of a massive release of radioactive gas from Fukushima. It all has the makings of a ticking (dirty) time bomb. When should Americans actually start preparing? Never! It makes you wonder: At what point will the worsening situation in Fukushima cross the threshold of President Obama’s resistance to urge Americans to take prudent precautions against the possibility of serious radioactive fallout? The policy in Washington today seems to be that no event is serious enough to warrant preparedness actions among the American people. Our Nobel Peace Prize-winning President seems to be too busy declaring illegal wars in Libya to spend even five minutes urging people on the West Coast to take sensible precautions against the increasing possibility of increased radiation exposure. That’s what the alternative press is for, of course: Bringing people the news and information they won’t get from “official” sources that have strong financial ties to the nuclear power industry. While Obama tells Americans to do nothing, NaturalNews urges Americans to take basic preparedness precautions to be ready for any event the world may throw our way. Preparedness is a rarity in modern cities As the citizens of Japan have recently learned the hard way, virtually no one has any extra stored water, food or medicine in the cities these days. Very few people are prepared for even small disruptions in basic infrastructure and supply lines. The average American living in a city today would die in less than 7 days if cut off from the grid supply of food and water. Their entire preparedness plan is to “trust the government.” That’s what the Japanese people did, too. And now they’re paying for that misplaced trust with what may soon become the most catastrophic nuclear disaster in the history of human civilization. Although Fukushima doesn’t look likely to suffer a large, one-time radiation explosion like Chernobyl, it’s now clear that the Fukushima nuclear complex is going to emit radiation for a very, very long time. It now seems almost certain that Japan must bury the facility under millions of tons of concrete and sand. How do you bury Fukushima for good? The problem is that there’s not even enough concrete in Japan to handle the job. To accomplish such a task, Japan would have to import not only thousands of pieces of industrial concrete-handling trucks and machinery; it would also have to import concrete materials by the ship-load. We’re talking about millions of tons of concrete materials, shipped in by ocean, from all over the world. Has anybody done the math on how long that will take to coordinate? Just getting the materials shipped to Japan within 30 days would be a miracle. And you can’t just plop down concrete and hope it sticks: You have to engineer the concrete effort so that it can resist future tsunamis and earthquakes. Normally, this would be at least a five-year project. Essentially, you have to build a whole new massive concrete containment structure on top of the existing nuclear complex . And remember: It was the corruption and cover-ups from the first such engineering project that helped cause this situation in the first place! That’s why this situation in Fukushima looks a lot more like Fubar than Fukushima. Fubar, of course, is an endearing snippet from American slang which means “don’t worry; the government is here to save you!” Watch for more reporting on this incident here at NaturalNews.com, and subscribe to our daily email alerts to be kept up to date on this developing situation: http://www.naturalnews.com/ReaderRegistration.html
Protocol for Nuclear Contamination: Iodine, Glutathione, Chelation, Clay, Baking Soda

The protocol: Iodine – Glutathione – Natural Chelation – Clay – Baking Soda. On Sunday, when I first released this protocol I said that it is too early to call everyone in North America to prepare for a radiation cloud streaming down radioactive particles from the accident in Japan. According to the media and government, America is not at risk due to radioactive fallout from the recent Japanese nuclear accidents and that is still officially the case. In a new essay I am preparing today I am writing about how easy it is for health and medical officials to declare dangerous things safe when they are not. We are living in an age where the financial Ponzi schemes have been built on fantastic walls of lies that have been layered one after another and this is going to be our Achilles’ heel as world events and this nuclear disaster continue to unfold. If there was ever a time to be preparing for worst-case scenarios, now is the time. The evolving protocol you will find in this presentation is effective for radiation as well as chemical and heavy metal contamination. Since we all live on a toxic planet that is getting more toxic each year, everyone who wants to survive the increasing challenges imposed upon our bodies should take note and start processes of detoxification and chelation of heavy metals and radioactive particles. Now, just hours after writing this above paragraph we get a report in the New York Times indicating that even best case scenarios include radioactive releases of steam from the crippled plants could go on for weeks, months or even years. So prepare we must. “Pentagon officials reported Sunday that helicopters flying 60 miles from the plant picked up small amounts of radioactive particulates — still being analyzed, but presumed to include Cesium-137 and Iodine-121 — suggesting widening environmental contamination. More steam releases also mean that the plume headed across the Pacific could continue to grow,” printed the Times . The incident is a reminder that preparedness should include being prepared for nuclear events with foods and medicinals in our medical cabinets that will protect us and our families as much as humanly and medically possible. Many people in Japan and elsewhere around the world that live and work close to nuclear plants will be seriously affected by nuclear accidents. When a meltdown happens the effects can be carried thousands of miles by the prevailing winds. It is unclear how far the impact of a meltdown might reach. In the United States, local communities plan for evacuation typically within 10 miles of a nuclear plant. However, states must be ready to cope with contamination of food and water as far as 50 miles away. When it comes to risks and toxic exposure levels we can count on the government and medical officials to understate the threat. This is something consistent in their approach to all types of toxic exposures. Link to a video about Meltdown threat: Japan ‘preparing for worst’ Besides having iodine on hand for emergencies, we can grow (and, at present, purchase) herbs and foods that prevent our bodies from storing radioactive particles. Some of these foods and herbs even remove radioactive particles from our bodies. As we are all already being affected by radiation released by numerous sources, eating these foods and doing detoxification and chelation protocols regularly is a good idea. If you have been exposed to too many X-rays or CAT scans, if you fly too much, work with diagnostic medical equipment or are environmentally sensitive and have ingested elevated levels of radioactive contaminated food, air or water, you also want to partake of the following protocol on a regular basis. Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda) The oral administration of sodium bicarbonate diminishes the severity of the changes produced by uranium in the kidneys. The kidneys are usually the first organs to show chemical damage upon uranium exposure. Old military manuals suggest doses or infusions of sodium bicarbonate to help alkalinize the urine if this happens. This makes the uranyl ion less kidney-toxic and promotes excretion of the nontoxic uranium-carbonate complex . The oral administration of sodium bicarbonate diminishes the severity of the changes produced by uranium in the kidneys. So useful and strong is sodium bicarbonate that at Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, researcher Don York has used baking soda to clean soil contaminated with uranium. Sodium bicarbonate binds with uranium , separating it from the dirt; so far, York has removed as much as 92 percent of the uranium from contaminated soil samples . I started writing about baking soda after discovering that the United States Army recommends the use of bicarbonate to protect the kidneys from radiation damage. Sodium bicarbonate can safely remove paint, grease, oil and smoke residue, decreasing workers’ exposure to harsh chemicals and eliminating much of the hazardous waste associated with other cleaners. “Sodium bicarbonate is able to clean in areas where other substances pose fire hazards, because baking soda is a natural fire extinguisher,” says Kenneth Colbert, a general manager for Arm and Hammer. This is the reason it’s used by oncology centers to control chemo agent spills and it’s actually used intravenously to protect patients from the hazardous toxicity of chemotherapy. “Uranium is one of the only metals that get significant bonding from carbonate. Just flushing a lot of bicarbonate through the system, along with whatever kidney support you are going to use, will be very helpful,” writes Dr. Chris Shade. There is no better therapy for radiation sickness then intense sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and magnesium baths with the appropriate clay added in. Even sodium thiosulfate can be added to these baths and that instantly neutralizes any chlorine in the bath water while simultaneously providing sulfur for the vital sulfur pathways. Bicarbonate and Nuclear Fallout If the bombs start dropping anywhere on earth, or if you live near a nuclear plant, you will want to have a large amount of sodium bicarbonate on hand. Minimum stocks should be 25 or 50 pounds. Normally I recommend someone start with using one pound of bicarbonate in a bath but that could easily be two or three pounds in an emergency situation. It is not a joke that one can get 50 pounds of the most powerful medicines on earth for 35 bucks. You will also need a lot of magnesium salts and the very best and most penetrating of them is the magnesium chloride in the form of magnesium bath flakes . Dead Sea salt is also quite fine for this application. Exposure to radiation causes a cascade of free radicals that wreak havoc on the body. Radiation decimates the body’s supply of glutathione. Please read my essay on Glutathione and Bicarbonate Nebulization . Nebulization is one of the best ways to quickly increase glutathione levels as is the use of glutathione suppositories. The main cancer risk from inhaled uranium oxide and other airborne radioactive particles would be from tiny insoluble particles lodged deep in the lungs. That’s a good reason to nebulize both glutathione and bicarbonate directly into the lungs and one must wonder why governments and health officials have not sponsored this treatment. Dr. Sarah Mayhill, speaking about uranium oxide says, “It can be inhaled by soldiers and civilians, it sticks to the lining of the lungs, it is taken up by cells of the immune systems and gets into lymph glands, bone, brain, hormone producing glands, ovaries and testes. It stays in these organs for many decades and is only very slowly excreted in urine.” Nebulization transdermally treats the lung tissues allowing for best effect on contaminated lung tissues. I have had the pleasure through the years to learn from some of the most intelligent doctors and scientists about heavy metal chelation and the opening of detoxification pathways. The individual who wins the Nobel Prize in the area of chelation, the scientist with the greatest genius, especially when it comes to mercury chelation, is Dr. Chris Shade . He has developed a sophisticated detoxification system based on enhancing the natural removal of metals through the intestines. Though his specialty is mercury, detoxification and chelation of radioactive poisons use the same pathways as mercury. He has developed three products that are effective for the removal of mercury including a liposome formula that allows us to get glutathione into the system via oral administration. (For more information or ordering of Dr. Shade’s products I only have a phone: 1- 866-257-8168, talk to Karen.) Combining his formulas with HMD (Heavy Metal Detox) from Dr. George Georgiou, another medical genius, gives us, in my opinion, the best possible medical formula to help remove radioactive contamination as long as iodine, magnesium chloride , a super food spirulina-based formula like Rejuvenate and edible clay are used as well. Rejuvenate is a powerful chlorophyll-rich formula that is easy to administer in high quantities because of its exceptionally pleasant taste. The intense levels of RNA in Rejuvenate will quickly help build up a person’s immune system and help them recover from the RNA/DNA damage caused by radiation exposure. It is interesting to see that uranium-238 is being eliminated in the hair using the HMD protocol; to date there is no natural chelating agent known to mobilize and eliminate uranium-238 from body tissues. HMD is the only chelation product that I have seen that has actually been tested and shown to be effective for uranium toxicity. HMD’s cilantro will move heavy metals and radioactive material out of the cells into the detoxification pathways with Dr. Chris Shade’s IMD (Intestinal Metal Detox) pulling down hard on those pathways to get the stuff out through the intestines. The internal consumption of edible clay and external clays dramatically facilitate this process. Clay baths are a very effective way of removing heavy metals from the body and increase one’s chances of survival if exposed to nuclear fallout. Iodine Iodine is the most obvious and important element in protecting against radiation damages. Radioactive iodine will plunge in to any and all iodine receptor cites that have no iodine in them due to iodine deficiencies. This is a serious problem because over 90 percent of people in North America, according to Dr. David Brownstein, are iodine deficient. This leaves them incredibly vulnerable to radioactive iodine, which is one of the principle forms of radiation given off in nuclear accidents and from nuclear weapons. In as separate article are videos of an interview I did today with Dr. Brownstein and a lot of important information about iodine supplementation as a vital defense against radiation contamination and damage. Intravenous Cocktails In cases of serious exposure, IV cocktails with high dosages of vitamin C, magnesium chloride or sulfate, sodium bicarbonate and very pure seawater full of all the minerals necessary for life would be ideal. Dr. David Brownstein administers a slow IV vitamin C drip — usually 25-50 gm, with minerals, and he adds 10cc of sodium bicarbonate. The addition of bicarb to the IV’s made a huge clinical improvement. He also adds 1 cc of bicarb to all Myers cocktail IV’s , which he says is “a great addition.” Nutrients to the Rescue Spirulina and chlorella have been used heavily by the Russians after the Chernobyl nuclear plant disaster. And the Japanese love their miso soup and that was said to help some of their citizens survive the fallout after the Americans attacked two of their cities. This is why I recommend Rejuvenate in high doses because of its high spirulina and chlorella content and because it is like refined rocket fuel for the cells providing them with a broad range of concentrated nutrients. Tan Koon Peng from Singapore writes: “Miso is effective for detoxifying your body of radiation. During World War II, two hospitals that were located side by side were hit with atomic radiation, in one hospital people consumed Miso and all of them survived while many people in the other hospital that did not take miso died. Miso is rich in vitamin B therefore it is suitable for vegetarians who are in shortage of vitamin B. For best results do not cook miso.” Herbalist Brigitte Mars says, “There are a number of foods that can better help our bodies tolerate the effects of pollution. Eating lower on the food chain minimizes our chemical intake. Consuming more whole grains has a multitude of benefits. Their high fiber content binds with toxins and lessens intestinal transit time. Their vitamin B6 content nourishes the thymus gland and their vitamin E content helps the body to better utilize oxygen. The grain buckwheat is high in rutin and helps to protect against radiation and stimulates new bone marrow production. The mucilaginous fiber in seaweed helps to prevent the reabsorbing of radioactive strontium 90. “Following the bombing of Nagasaki, a group of surviving macrobiotic doctors and their patients avoided radiation sickness by eating brown rice, miso and seaweed. They also did not get leukemia. Seaweeds also help to break down fatty deposits. High-chlorophyll foods like wheatgrass and barley grass strengthen cells, transport oxygen, help to detoxify the blood and liver as well as help to neutralize polluting elements and stimulate RNA production. Sulfur-rich vegetables like broccoli, cabbage and mustard greens combine with heavy metals and help prevent free radical damage,” says Mars. Dr. Shade commenting on the above said, “In the last sentence Brigitte Mars, a local friend actually mentions the broccoli family. A normal misconception is restated here – namely that the sulfur compounds in the broccoli family bind the heavy metals.?Actually the sulfur compounds trigger increased expression of your glutathione system , which results in both metal detoxification and free radical neutralization. The other group of food compounds that do this is the polyphenolic antioxidants – pine bark extract, green tea extract, grape seed extract, and my favorite Haritaki or terminalia chebula, an Ayurvedic fruit that is the basis for many medicines including the intestinal detoxifier Triphala. This fruit is used extensively in Tibetan Medicine where it is pictured being held by the Medicine Buddha and call the “King of Herbs”. It has potent effects on the glutathione system and on expression of other intracelluar antioxidants such as superoxide dismutase. Haritaki is one of the superpowers in Clear Way. Clear Way also includes other polyphenolics such as Pine Bark extract, large amounts of liver cleansing dandelion root extract, natural iodine and minerals from fucus extract (or what is known as bladderwrack, a sea vegetable), the metal chelator and super antioxidant R-Lipoic acid, nerve protectors gotu kola and bacopa monniera, and B-vitamins 1, 5, and 6. Research on animals indicates that curcumin (an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compound found in the curry spice turmeric) may help protect against radiation-induced damage to the skin. Other research in animals shows that the herb ginkgo biloba may help shield against organ damage resulting from radiation therapy. And aloe vera is often touted as a natural remedy for radiation-induced skin changes preventing or minimizing radiation-induced skin reactions.
Twelve unsustainable things that will soon come to a disastrous end on our planet

(NaturalNews) If you look around what’s really happening in our world today, there’s an inescapable pattern that curiously emerges: Much of what’s going on is simply unsustainable . It can’t go on for much longer, in other words. And it must collapse due to the laws of economics or physics. Here, I’ve put together a collection of twelve systems that are utterly unsustainable on our planet. Each of these twelve is scheduled for some sort of collapse or shut down in the coming years. They range from economics to medicine, population and the environment. And interestingly, the collapse of just one of these twelve would have devastating consequences across human civilization. What happens when two, three or ten of these things collapse? This article doesn’t cover the consequences of the collapse of these unsustainable things, but we’ll work on covering that in future articles. Here are the twelve: 1) Debt-based banking and economic systems There’s little question that our global fractional reserve banking system is headed for a catastrophic collapse. It’s a system based on debt rather than sound money principles, and the laws of economics dictate that the global multiplication of money and debt is entirely unsustainable. This system will collapse, and when it does, it will be so large that the economic devastation will be global. Governments have actually made this worse, of course, by bailing out the dishonest investment institutions that have made the situation worse. The coming financial collapse will teach humanity some hard lessons about honest money. When it comes to money, banking and debt, Ron Paul has always been right, after all. 2) Conventional agriculture and “rape the planet” farming The current agricultural system that feeds the planet is simply unsustainable. It is a “rape the planet” model that clear-cuts forests to grow GMO soybeans that feed factory cattle which are turned into processed meat. Even the plant crops grown through conventional agriculture depend on chemical fertilizers from sources that are running out (fossil fuels, phosphate mines, etc.). Furthermore, the mass application of chemical pesticides, fungicides and Monsanto’s Roundup chemicals is destroying the viability of soils while polluting the world’s farms, rivers, streams and oceans. This system is unsustainable. When it collapses, humanity will learn (the hard way) that only sustainable agriculture can sustain human life on our planet. 3) Mass-consumption economies based on buy-it-and-trash-it behavior When children are raised to be good little Americans (or Canadians, or Australians, etc.), they’re taught to consume more stuff . In America, it was even called “patriotic” by former President George Bush. To support your local economy, you’re supposed to go out and buy stuff that you don’t need, then chuck it into the trash after you use it, then go out and buy more! Virtually the entire first-world economy is based on this idea that people need to consume more stuff, then throw it away, then consume more. That’s what all the corporate advertising is for, to convince people that they are inadequate unless they buy and consume more high-priced cars, designer jeans, electronic gadgets and throwaway home cleaning supplies. This system is insane . And it cannot continue indefinitely. 4) The accelerating loss of farming soils There’s a great documentary you need to see on this called Dirt. (www.DirtTheMovie.org) It explains the value of dirt (soil) and why conventional agriculture methods are destroying the dirt upon which our civilization depends. We even wrote about the movie here: http://www.naturalnews.com/031597_Dirt_movie.html No dirt = no food. Get it? And the dirt is disappearing at an alarming rate, thanks to the unsustainable practices of conventional agriculture, with all its tilling, soil destruction, poisons and GMOs. I wonder what the people will plant their seeds in when all the cropland dirt is either dead or gone? 5) The mass poisoning of the oceans and aggressive over-fishing Oceans ecosystems are collapsing. This isn’t some future prediction, it’s happening right now. Ocean acidification is destroying the coral reefs and mollusks all across the globe. At the same time, human civilization treats the oceans as giant planetary toilets into which all the toxic chemicals of modern civilization are flushed: Pharmaceuticals, pesticides, fertilizers, heavy metals, hormone-disrupting chemicals and a whole lot more. Massive fish die-offs are becoming increasingly common (http://www.naturalnews.com/031645_dead_fish_Redondo_Beach.html), and fish populations are plummeting across several species. We are beginning to see the results of mankind’s ongoing poisoning of the oceans. 6) Mass genetic pollution of the planet through GMOs It will be the great, dark legacy of our modern civilization: The widespread genetic contamination of the planet through the use of GMOs. Genetically engineered seeds are spreading their altered genetic code all across the world. The DNA of GMO crops is now detectable in soils, foods and water systems. What’s the upshot of all this? It’s a big unknown, of course, and that’s the frightening part: No one before has ever “played God” with the planet, right out in the open, and then observed what happens after a few years (or decades). Thanks to companies like Monsanto, we are the experiment , and no one know if it might ultimately lead to something like a widespread crop failure or even the alternation of natural web-of-life interactions across multiple ecosystems. And if genetic pollution causes problems, how do you “clean” that pollution? You can’t! Genetic pollution endures. Once crops become infected with GE seeds, it’s all but impossible to eliminate the DNA contamination. 7) The drugs-and-surgery conventional medical system Big Pharma’s days are numbered — based on economics if nothing else. The monopolistic pricing, the deadly side effects and the corrupt, criminal operations of the industry make it all utterly non-sustainable. Big Pharma and the whole chemical approach to medicine is bankrupting companies, cities, states and nations. No nation can economically survive in the long run if it keeps spending its money on Big Pharma sick care schemes. Ultimately, those nations that hope to survive will need to ditch Big Pharma and return to natural medicine and preventive nutrition. That day is coming. Sooner that you think, probably.
Widespread pharmaceutical contamination of the human population and the environment Until the day comes that Big Pharma collapses into ruin, the pharmaceutical pollution of the planet will continue. Right now, pharmaceutical factories in India (which export their pills back to the states to be sold as brand-name drugs) are dumping untold thousands of gallons of dangerous chemical drugs into the waterways there (http://www.naturalnews.com/025415_water_Big_Pharma_chemicals.html). In the U.S. and Canada, the water near every major city is heavily contaminated with pharmaceuticals. (http://www.naturalnews.com/025933.html) The situation is so bad that Big Pharma’s chemical runoff threatens the future of life on our planet! (http://www.naturalnews.com/029314_waterways_contamination.html) Fortunately, this sad chapter in human history will soon come to an end. 9) Runaway human population growth Here’s the one nobody wants to talk about. But make no mistake: The human population growth we see right now is entirely unsustainable. The available of cheap food and fossil fuels over the last century has contributed to an unprecedented population explosion that is now nearing its end. There are only so many acres of farmland, after all, and only so many acre-feet of water to irrigate it. Don’t misinterpret this, however, of thinking that I support some sort of population reduction measures a la Bill Gates and his quote about reducing the world population by 10 – 15 percent through the use of vaccines and health care (http://www.naturalnews.com/029911_vaccines_Bill_Gates.html). Unlike some of the truly evil world leaders, I don’t believe in killing off human beings just to reduce global population. Rather, it makes more sense to teach sustainable living practices along with good parenting and well-considered parenthood. Strangely, most of the new children brought into the world today are not the result of stable, well-prepared parents choosing to have children, but rather the unintended consequences of casual copulation. 10) Fossil water consumption for agriculture We just published a story on this issue, talking about how the Ogallala Aquifer is running dry, threatening the agricultural output of Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and even parts of Colorado and Texas (http://www.naturalnews.com/031658_aquifer_depletion_Ogallala.html). This is a global issue, affecting India, China, North America, South America and nearly every nation that produces any significant agricultural yields. Fresh water is running out all across the world, and while additional water supplies can always be created through desalination, for example, that’s a very expensive way to replenish the water, and it’s almost entirely dependent on fossil fuels (see below). Even if you could build enough desalination plants to irrigate the world’s croplands, the resulting food prices would still result in mass starvation by those who couldn’t afford the food which might cost ten times the current price. Imagine paying $20 for a loaf of bread and you get the idea of what’s coming. 11) Fossil fuel consumption I realize this is a highly contentious issue, with some people claiming that there’s an “unlimited supply of oil” in our planet because it’s replenishing itself all the time. This idea simply doesn’t square with what we know: The Earth is a finite object, occupying finite space. Inside it can only be a finite amount of fossil fuels. The recharge rate of fossil fuels is on the scale of millions of years, meaning we can’t simply wait around for more fuel to reappear if we use up the current reserves. There is convincing evidence right now that Saudi Arabia, the world’s largest oil producer, has been lying about its output capacity for at least the last decade. It can’t reach its production targets, and there is reasoned speculation that its own best-producing oil wells are approaching their end. Even if oil remains available for a few more decades, it still becomes increasingly expensive oil, meaning that everything else down the supply chain becomes more expensive, too: Food, fuel, consumer goods, etc. The era of cheap fossil fuels is coming to an end. Although fossil fuels will no doubt be around for several decades more, the cheap stuff is long gone, it seems. The citizens of Earth will soon need to find an alternate way to power their cities, cars and businesses in the 21st century. Oh, and by the way, solar probably isn’t the answer, as solar panels depend on rare earth metals that are entirely dependent on Chinese mining operations (http://www.naturalnews.com/028160_rare_earth_metals_mining.html). Wind energy also hasn’t panned out as it should have. And the governments of the world continue to suppress free energy technologies such as Cold Fusion , which has now been proven to work by even the U.S. Navy (http://www.naturalnews.com/025925_cold_fusion_science_Amazon.html). 12) The widespread destruction of animal habitat Here’s one that drives some people nuts. What? We can’t keep clear-cutting the rainforests to plant genetically engineered soybeans? Not if you want the planet to survive, actually. There’s a delicate web of life on our planet upon which human life ultimately depends. The more animal habitat we destroy, the more it ultimately comes back to haunt us. Now, I’m not in favor of the insane green police and the UN’s freedom-stealing efforts to pigeon-hole human beings into centrally-controlled behavior boxes. The key here is finding ways for people to live in balance with nature while still maintaining their freedoms. And that depends on education. We need to continue to teach people how to make sound decisions about where they buy their wood furniture (to avoid the slashing of old-growth forests). We need to teach people who eat meat to buy truly free-range, grass-fed meat rather than factory-farmed meats that depend on soybean mega-farms. And of course, we also need to make people aware of the benefits of getting more plant-based foods into their diets where possible, because when properly prepared, plant foods provide a lot of nutrients with a smaller ecological footprint than most meats. I’m not against those who eat meat, by the way. I just think that people need to consider where their food comes from no matter what they’re eating , and then take steps to reduce the ecological footprint of the food they’re choosing to consume. The best answer to this is to buy local food . In fact, I would argue that eating some beef steaks from a local farmer is more ecologically sound than juicing up organic fruits and vegetables grown and imported from Chile (unless you live in Chile, of course). That’s an arguable point, of course, and opinions differ sharply on this, but I believe that we really need to focus on eating local foods just as much as we do on what we’re eating . Personally, I don’t eat cows, but even for the plants I consume, I’m working hard right now on growing more of my own so that I’m acting with integrity — “walking the talk” so to speak — to be aligned with what I’m advocating for others. While we’re at it, one of the best ways to reduce the destruction of animal habitat is to grow your own food by turning your yard into a garden. Reduce your demand for store-bought food and you unquestionably reduce your ecological footprint on the planet. And reconsider how much seafood you eat. Most seafood is extremely damaging to ocean ecosystems. I don’t have space to discuss it all right here, but we’ll cover it more on NaturalNews in the near future. Life is on the line So those are 12 of the biggest things that are entirely unsustainable on our planet right now. Human life depends on most of them. It makes you wonder: How will humans survive when these systems and resources upon which we depend have run out or collapsed? That is a question we’d all better be asking ourselves right now. Because the age of cheap fuel, cheap money, cheap water and cheap food is fast ending. The future of life on our planet will require something far more evolved than the infantile, selfish and self-destructive mindset that humanity has so far demonstrated. Debt-based money systems don’t cut it. Burning up all the fossil fuels is only a fool’s abundance. Medicating the humans and animals with toxic, synthetic pharmaceuticals is a form of medical insanity. These things will all come to an end. The question is: Who will survive the end of these things and be around to help shape the next society which must operate with far greater humility and wisdom?
Rawesome Foods raw milk co-op raid conducted by criminal elements of local, state and federal law enforcement

(NaturalNews) On June 30, 2010, a group of armed government agents from local, state, federal and even the Canadian government illegally trespassed on private property and raided Rawesome Foods , a private food buying club in Venice, California. With guns drawn, these agents tore through the property stealing computers, raw dairy products and honey, all while holding some of the volunteer workers hostage for several hours. When the agents finally left, they took with them thousands of dollars in private property as well as the surveillance footage of their armed rampage. Sounds like a scene out of a horror movie, right? Except this actually happened , though unless you’re tuned in to the health freedom movement, you’ve probably heard nothing about it. Most of the mainstream media outlets would never touch a story like this because it exposes just how tyrannical and out of control our government has become on issues like raw milk and food freedom . [Editor's note: The reason we took so long to publish this story is because we were waiting on some promised video footage of the raid -- footage that never materialized. It is not yet clear whether this footage was confiscated by police or simply lost, but there is reportedly additional footage of this raid that nobody has seen yet. I regret that we have so far been unable to obtain it for you.] It all started back in 2005 when, according to a Rawesome member, an under-cover agent was able to trick workers and get into the club without a proper membership. The agent allegedly purchased some items there, and authorities used this as an excuse to come back and raid the club. They claimed that the club was engaging in commerce without a proper permit. But Rawesome immediately notified the agents that the cooperative is a private buying club that doesn’t sell to the public. Therefore, it’s completely outside the scope of government jurisdiction. In other words, government agents have no right to come on Rawesome’s property uninvited, unless they have a valid search warrant and a lawful reason to show up. Rawesome submitted all the necessary legal documents to authorities after the first raid, showing that the club is a legitimate, private membership co-op, but that didn’t stop the same agents from performing another illegal raid five years later. Except this time, the agents had already been warned that such harassment is illegal and unwarranted, so they knowingly trespassed on private property without a legitimate reason. The idea behind private buying clubs Before going any further, let me explain why private buying clubs exist. In order for most Americans to get food that’s untainted, unprocessed and unpasteurized, they have to form legal buying clubs that operate outside the mandates of local health departments and departments of agriculture. These mandates include things like requiring all dairy products to be pasteurized, requiring that certain toxic chemicals be used to clean processing equipment, and so on. So people that want clean, unadulterated food either have to grow it themselves or buy it directly from farmers that hold their same philosophies about growing and raising food. But to purchase things like raw milk, for example, members have to sign agreements with farmers in which they literally purchase a portion of a cow or goat in order to legally gain access to the raw product from the animal. So members basically own a portion of an animal and go to Rawesome to pick up the milk from their own animal. This arrangement is often called “cow sharing” or “goat sharing.” In California, clubs like Rawesome are perfectly legal — they’re basically nothing more than a group of private individuals who collectively share products from the animals and farms in which they own shares. There’s nothing criminal or illegal about it; it’s what individuals are free to do in the United States of America (although in some other states, cow and goat sharing has been outlawed, if you can believe that). But in Rawesome’s case, the Feds ignored the fact that the club was operating legally and lawfully, and decided to raid the club on false grounds, apparently for intimidation purposes. The whole idea appears to be to send a message to other raw food operations that if they try to sell raw milk, they will be raided at gunpoint too! False felony charges and missing warrant pages Following a NaturalNews investigation into this case, there are several things I want to point out that deserve critical attention. First, agents conducted this raid on Rawesome under the false pretense that they were addressing felony crime charges. But Matthew, a member of Rawesome, explained during an interview with NaturalNews reporter Ethan Huff that many of the agents who were there during the raid had no idea what they were even raiding, or why they were raiding it. (The following quotes are from Ethan Huff’s conversations with Rawesome members.) “Most of the local policemen who were there, they thought they were there serving felony warrants. And they weren’t really told what they were serving them for,” he explained. “One of the cop’s mother shopped at Rawesome, so he was pretty upset when he found out that that’s where they were raiding.” The agents were simply following the orders that had been passed down to them from higher-ups, even though these agents didn’t really understand what they were being ordered to do, or the fact that their raid was technically illegal. So what happened after they arrived? “A SWAT team came initially, they … took all the cameras, from what I understand they took financial data … everybody’s membership information, computers … they took all the security footage that would have shown what the cops were doing.” “One guy was there with a camera, and they took his camera away and erased it, and they even made all the workers and employees stand up, and took pictures and profiles of everyone that was there. These are all Ron Paul type people … so they were pretty vocal when all this was happening,” explained Matthew. Creating the appearance of guilt You would think that with an armed SWAT team present, there was some sort of drug or terrorist activity going on, right? On the contrary, there was nothing criminal at all going on except by those conducting the raid in the first place. According to the warrant that James, the operator of Rawesome, received from the agents, the supposed felony charges for which the raid was conducted were not felony charges at all. Every charge visible on the warrant was a misdemeanor. Even worse, the warrant only permitted the agents to take “vial” samples of Rawesome products. But instead, the agents decided to just take everything they possibly could. “They came in and stole … 17 coolers worth of product, when on their search warrant it authorized the taking of vials of samples, which of course would have fit under your underarm in a soft-sided cooler. So … why were they armed with 17 coolers when that was a violation of their own protocols on their search warrant?” The agents not only confiscated thousands of dollars worth of food products, but they tagged most of the other food as “evidence” and ordered Rawesome workers not to “sell” any more of it to members. From about 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., the agents remained on Rawesome’s premises until they finally decided to leave. Rawesome attends mandatory hearing the day after raid, gets no answers As agents left the day of the raid, they informed James that he had to attend a mandatory hearing the following day, July 1, at the Baldwin Park, Cal. location of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). So James complied in good faith, bringing with him Tony Blain, an attorney and member of Rawesome, as well as another member. Sitting around a conference room table at HHS were representatives from the FDA, the FBI, the local health department and the California Department of Food and Agriculture. Tony verbally challenged the group’s jurisdiction in conducting the raid, and informed them that the issue had already been resolved several years prior when Rawesome submitted all the necessary information to officials. But after giving this testimony and questioning the agents repeatedly about why the raid even occurred — while receiving no valid explanation — Rawesome’ crew decided to leave. They literally got up and left and haven’t heard anything from those specific agencies since that day. Rawesome didn’t even receive a complete warrant An interesting aspect to the Rawesome case is the fact that the agents didn’t even serve Rawesome a complete warrant. “The search warrant says, of the four pages we got … “four of 16″, so where are the other 12 pages,” James stressed during a phone interview. Sharon Palmer, a nearby farmer who raises club members’ goats, has also been raided four times in the last year-and-a-half, explained James, and in the most recent raid, she didn’t receive a complete warrant either. “She only has three of 12 pages while we have four of 16 pages, so she called the DA (district attorney), who refused to give her any information, which of course would seem illegal is he’s the man that was the person who signed [as the] authority, and then got a judge to sign the search warrant.” “So she called the judge, who then hung up on her. And then she went downtown to get her copy of the rest of the pages and was told that it’s sealed.” But according to the few pages of the search warrants that both James and Sharon received, it was specified plainly that the entire warrant had to be served, so how could it legally be sealed? “It’s sinister, corrupt behavior,” retorted James. “You would think that they’re the ones that are way more corrupt than anyone else.” What’s really clear from all this is that law enforcement officials simply make up the law as they go , abiding by nothing resembling due process. As we’ve seen so often before in the nutritional supplements industry, members of law enforcement will even falsify information in order to create fictitious warrants that give them an excuse to raid any establishment they wish. Read the history of raids on the Life Extension Foundation (www.LEF.org) if you really want to see some fascinating information about what goes on. Check out this story I wrote in 2007 called Tyranny in the USA: The true history of FDA raids on healers, vitamin shops and supplement companies at: http://www.naturalnews.com/021791.html Building and safety code officials illegally raid and assault Rawesome just two weeks later If it’s not bad enough that an armed SWAT team unlawfully raided a private buying club and stole thousands of dollars of private property, consider the fact that just two weeks after the first raid, local building and safety code officials showed up and conducted their own mini-raid. These building and safety code officials were not present during the first raid, but mysteriously decided to show up unannounced, and search the property to check for code violations. And in doing so, they broke the law and their own protocol by failing to give proper notice. “The building and safety code people have their own protocols, which we’ve gone online to read,” explained James. “If they want to enter a property in order to see if there’s any code violations … they are supposed to contact the owners of the property, in writing, and give us 30 days to get an appointment [set up] to come on the property.” “They did none of that, and decided to enter the property after they were even informed … that it was private property and they were not allowed there.” According to James, these officials ignored warnings that they were trespassing, and proceeded to force their way into the building, physically shoving one of the Rawesome crew to the ground on the way in. So not only did the officials violate the law by entering illegally, but they assaulted a member of the club in the process. What does the Canadian government have to do with all this, anyway? Perhaps the strangest fact about the Rawesome raid is the fact that the Canadian government was involved in conducting it. Since when does the Canadian government have any lawful jurisdiction over local affairs in the U.S.? What law gives them permission to violate private American property? The answer, of course, is that there’s absolutely no justifiable reason for the Canadian government to be involved in any civil affairs here in the U.S. And nobody at Rawesome seems to know why they were there, either. “I had no idea why Canadian anything would be involved,” expressed James. “I have no clue.” Rawesome to press charges against the government for illegal harassment and theft Rawesome operates as part of the larger organization called Right to Choose Healthy Food (RTCHF) (www.Rawmilk.org), which is a non-profit trust association with local food buying clubs like Rawesome located all across the country. A few members of the organization are located in Canada, which is perhaps the alleged justification for the Canadian government’s involvement in the raid. Dr Aajonus Vonderplanitz, president of RTCHF, legally represents both Rawesome and RTCHF, and is working on filing suit against officials for their crimes against the club. And according to both James and Matthew, practically every Rawesome member has indicated that they’re onboard with the suit. NaturalNews obtained a copy of the letter Aajonus sent to these officials back in 2005, and it’s more than clear that the agencies involved in the raid flat out ignored the letter. If they had read it and taken it seriously, there would not have been another raid (unless, of course, these agencies have a different agenda that operates outside the law). Private buying clubs do not involve interstate commerce Regardless of what happened to prompt the first raid, there’s no legitimate reason for government agents to raid a private buying club, especially if those agents deliberately planned a scheme to trick the club into selling to a non-member (entrapment, anyone?). There was no terrorist activity, no prostitution, no drug dealing — none of the outlandish things you would expect to have been taking place to justify an armed raid. This was just a regular group of folks pursuing healthy living through clean, whole, raw foods. The whole things is really just another classic case of escalating government tyranny over private enterprise here in the U.S., and it’s happening all across the country to many different co-ops and buying clubs. Our Founding Fathers must be rolling in their graves over the gross abuse of authority that today’s government is criminally imposing over individual, sovereign citizens, especially on issues of basic food freedoms. You can’t sell fresh milk from a cow? Are you kidding? America was raised on raw milk from cows! Federal tyranny escalates The Feds have been raiding buying clubs all over the country recently, including clubs in Ohio (http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=84445) and Wisconsin (http://wholefoodusa.wordpress.com/2010/06/03/alert-amishman-busted-for-raw-milk/). And Massachusetts legislators recently tried to prohibit buying clubs via legislation (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/david-e-gumpert/fight-over-raw-milk-moves_b_560863.html). A lot of time and effort — and taxpayer money — is being spent bullying and intimidating innocent people who simply want to eat healthy food without government intrusion. If the public really knew about all this — and how much it’s costing them in taxpayer dollars — they would be outraged. “If the public got wind of the fact that they’re spending possibly hundreds of thousands of dollars while they’re laying off firemen, policemen, schoolteachers … the cities are broke and the counties and states are broke, and they’re spending public taxpayer funds on raiding private membership clubs which have nothing to do with the public, wouldn’t you think the public would be in outrage?” James explained, referencing a conversation he had with Sharon, a raw goat milk supplier. He was also sure to note that it’s most likely a few bureaucrats at the top who are driving this agenda; most of the people actually carrying out these raids don’t even know that what they’re doing is wrong. Cops are trained to just follow orders and not question them. “I believe that 99 percent of all the agents and all the agencies are just ignorant. They’re just doing their job. They don’t know any better. They’re trained to do something and follow orders,” he emphasized. “I don’t have any beef with any of those people. The only beef I have is with the few people, wherever they are … writing all these ridiculous, insane, unfair, unjust laws.” But that doesn’t justify the behavior of these agents, no matter who they are. They are still responsible for stealing private property, causing undue harm and trespassing illegally. When the cops become the criminals, stealing raw milk while intimidating those who are trying to preserve the availability of real food for health-conscious consumers, you know something has gone horribly wrong with law enforcement. Ecuador travel survival guide: What to bring on a trip to Vilcabamba, Loja or Quito

(NaturalNews) Traveling in Ecuador can be very rewarding: It’s one of the most beautiful destinations in all the Americas, and there are some truly fascinating things to explore there. I spent most of my time in Southern Ecuador, near Loja and Vilcabamba (the Valley of Longevity), but I also traveled around Quito and Guayaquil, too. In these travels, I learned some important travel tips that I’m sharing here. If you plan to visit Ecuador, take these to heart: They’ll save you all sorts of frustration once you get there. Watch those numbers When you buy items at local shops, it’s not unusual for them to add up the purchase total on a slip of paper. (Ecuadorian merchants are much better at math than North American workers, most of whom have forgotten how to add…) When you see the total, you might be shocked to discover that things seem more expensive than they should. Well, here’s why: Ecuadorians write the number “1″ to look like a “7″. Yep: What looks to you and me like a seven is actually a one in Ecuador. Their sevens have a cross-mark on them to distinguish them from ones. So if you think your grocery bill total came to $75.70, the truth is that it’s probably just $15.10. Carry a flashlight everywhere Ecuador doesn’t have a lot of street lights. At night, it gets dark. Sometimes really dark. So always carry a flashlight with you wherever you go. I always carried a head-worn flashlight. It was the easiest to carry and use. In a pinch, you can buy one of these in Ecuador, but they’re less expensive to buy in the USA first, before you go. (I don’t know the pricing in Canada, Europe or elsewhere, but it’s probably cheaper to buy it first.) I also found it handy to always carry a pocket tool with a simple knife. The best I found is the Skeletool by Leatherman. Here’s a link to it on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Leatherman-830850-Skeletool-CX-Multitool/dp/B000XU43IC I’ve also seen these for sale at Target stores in the USA. Learn how merchants describe prices If something costs you two dollars and fifty cents, that’s described to you as, “Dos con cincuenta.” That’s “two with fifty.” They don’t say “two dollars and fifty cents.” They just say “Two with fifty.” Merchants will often not bother with demanding every single cent. If the total is $2.52, and you give them $2.50, that’s usually enough. Likewise they will sometimes give you back slightly less change. If they owe you $1.03 in change, they might just give you a buck. You should be okay with that. It works both ways. Small bills Even in a major Ecuadorian city like Quito, it’s difficult to break a $50 or $100. Outside the cities, it’s impossible. In rural areas, you’ll even have trouble breaking a $20. Or if you do manage to find some merchant who will take your $20, it usually works like this: You ask them if they can break a $20 for your small purchase. They say yes, they can break it. So you hand them your $20. Then they run out of their shop and disappear for ten minutes. What they’re doing is running around the street trying to find someone who has change for your $20. A few minutes later, they finally reappear with your change. So yes, many local merchants can break a $20 for you, but only if you’re willing to wait while they canvass the town looking for change. To avoid this, always carry $5 and $1 bills. That’s the real currency in Ecuador: Small bills! Taxis Taxi drivers are some of the nicest people in Ecuador. I’ve spent many hours chatting with them during various trips. In Vilcabamba, go with the taxis that look like white pickup trucks. Many of those drivers speak some English, too! It’s good to tip taxi drivers a bit. If your ride is $2, give them an extra 50 cents. If you take a longer trip to a different city, and your ride is $25, it doesn’t hurt to give them $28. They really appreciate the tips, and what I learned is that the next time you need a taxi, they show up right away. I generally tip from 10% – 20%. Taxi drivers are usually fairly honest in Ecuador, except beware of taxis in Guayaquil, which is a city that has higher crime rates than anywhere else in the country. Don’t just jump into any taxi you see. You might get taken for a ride there. But in Vilcabamba and Loja, taxis are almost universally safe and polite. Keep your personal belongings safe While most Ecuadorians are honest, hard-working people, there are a small number who make a living lifting valuable objects off foreigners. This is especially prevalent at the airports, where a friendly-looking business man in a suit might offer to help you with your luggage and then covertly walk away with your laptop (it’s true; it happened to a friend of mine). Laptop theft is so common in Ecuador now that I know an attorney in Loja who won’t even carry a laptop bag anymore. He carries his laptop in an old backpack instead. Anything that looks valuable — a laptop bag, camera bag, and so on — should be disguised as something else. And please don’t make the mistake of putting your purse over the back of the chair you’re sitting on in a local restaurant. When you finish your dinner, that purse will be history. Also, here’s another trick: If you get on a bus to travel from city to city, the bus worker loading your bags might place your bag under your seat. You think it’s safe, right? But what you don’t know is that your bag was purposely put under your seat so that the zipper is facing the rear of the bus. Once you fall asleep, the person behind you will quietly unzip your bag and steal anything valuable. You won’t figure it out until you get to your hotel room and wonder, “Where my iPhone?” Ecuador is actually a very safe country to visit. There’s not much violent crime compared to other countries, but there is a fair amount of petty theft. So travel safely and keep your belongings hidden and close to your body. Learn some Spanish! The best thing you can bring to Ecuador is some Spanish language skills! Some people in Ecuador speak English, but by no means is this a common skill. You’ll need some Spanish to get around and enjoy yourself. If you’re an audio learner, I recommend the Pimsleur Spanish courses. If you’re a visual learner, I recommend Rosetta Stone . I’ve used both courses, and they both taught me a lot. Please try not to pronounce your Spanish like a total newbie gringo! It’s better to have a small vocabulary that you pronounce well than a huge vocabulary that nobody else can understand. Remember: If you aren’t rolling your R’s and softening your D’s, you aren’t pronouncing Spanish correctly. In Ecuador, the letter “V” is pronounced almost like a “B.” Enjoy your visit to Ecuador!
