Fukushima update: Radiation danger continues

The picture above was taken on the sidewalk of Hakusan Dori in Bunkyo-ku in Tokyo, and was uploaded on July 30. The air radiation in Bunkyo-ku has been higher than the official Tokyo number (measured in Shinjuku-ku, western central Tokyo), along with several other eastern “ku” (special wards of Tokyo). The person who took the picture says, “About 30% of azaleas on the sidewalk are completely dead. Ginkgo leaves are browning.” Japan is considering the possibility of creating a back-up capital city in case they need to abandon Tokyo . A new panel from Japan’s Ministry of Land and Infrastructure will consider the possibility of moving some of Tokyo’s capital functions to another big city, like Osaka. They talk about earthquake threats, which are quite real but mention nothing about the persistent radiation driving parts of the government out of the city. The story only gets worse and this one could eventually bring down the Japanese government, which withheld important information from residents of Tsushima. ?Tamotsu Baba, the mayor of Namie, said that the withholding of information was akin to ” murder .” Japan’s system to forecast radiation threats was working from the beginning but they did not warn the people when a radiation plume hit the Karino Elementary School.? The school, just over six miles from the plant, was not cleared out. Instead it was turned into a temporary evacuation center. For three nights, while hydrogen explosions at four of the reactors spewed radiation into the air many Japanese stayed in Tsushima district where the children played outside and some parents used water from a mountain stream to prepare rice. The radioactive “winds, in fact, had been blowing directly toward Tsushima but this vital information was left unpublicized by bureaucrats in Tokyo, operating in a culture that sought to avoid responsibility and, above all, criticism,” published the New York Times . Three men in charge of nuclear power safety and policy have been sacked. Trade and Industry Minister, Banri Kaieda, said the three senior officials would be held responsible for mishandling the plant and its problems. Japanese officials have withheld information and denied the facts of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster to its own citizens and they are doing that in coordination with other governments around the world who are also withholding and hiding information. Not a Good Time for Rice and other Crops Japan started trading rice futures this past Monday but suspended the market after the price of the staple grain soared on fears that radioactive contamination from the Fukushima disaster will restrict supply. Rice, Japan’s staple crop has not been spared exposure from Fukushima’s radiation. Rice planting has been banned in areas close to Fukushima and tests will be done on the crops before being sold. Questions remain over how much is being revealed to the public, as radiation seeps deeper into the food chain. Fallout from the stricken Fukushima Dai-Ichi power plant has spread to crops — We learned that after it was found that cattle had been fed cesium-tainted rice straw. The Problem that is Not Going Away Meanwhile radioactive material is still leaking from the plant nearly five months later, and last week workers at the plant discovered the hottest radioactive spot seen since the disaster began , a company spokesman said on Tuesday, July 28, 2011. The ultra-high levels of radiation were measured on the grounds of the facility, between reactors No. 1 and 2. The lethal radiation was found at the bottom of a ventilation tower. The power company immediately cordoned off the area and is currently investigating the cause of the high radiation and how it will affect the recovery work at the plant, Tsunoda said. The radiation levels — 10,000 millisieverts per hour — are high enough that a single 60-minute dose would be fatal to humans within weeks. The crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant might have suffered a second nuclear meltdown , Kyodo news agency reported. According to the study, which was conducted by nuclear safety expert Fumiya Tanabe, fuel inside one of the plant’s nuclear reactors might have breached the bottom of a pressure vessel after melting again. The current guidelines for workers’ compensation due to radiation exposure only certify leukemia among the various types of cancer that will be covered. In these cases compensation is granted only when an applicant is exposed to more than 5 millisieverts of radiation a year and develops leukemia more than one year after being exposed to nuclear radiation. The operator of Japan’s damaged nuclear power plant says the area where potentially lethal levels of radiation were detected has been sealed. Iodine Truth or Consequences Health Canada’s radiation webpage offers some striking data from the five stations monitoring specific radioactive substances. This data shows the air at the five stations contained an average of 33.3 millibecquerels of radioactive iodine per cubic metre during 30.4 days of elevated radiation. That works out to double the 16.7 millibecquerels per cubic metre of iodine-131 that would be permitted over those 30.4 days, according to the maximum limit set by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission. (The commission’s ceiling is 200 millibecquerels per cubic metre of exposure in the air on a daily basis for an entire year. That equates to 16.7 millibecquerels per cubic metre over 30.4 days.) The station in Sidney, B.C. detected 19.4 millibecquerels per cubic metre of iodine-131 in the air during a 22-day-long spike in radiation. That was 61 percent higher than the maximum dose of 12.1 millibecquerels per cubic metre permitted for 22 days . UK authorities mimic CDC by revealing self-defense strategy for when ‘zombies’ invade

Peter Holt, the city’s service director of communication and marketing, apparently responded to him by sharing a secret document that outlines preparation tactics for various levels of zombie invasion. “Please note that this document contains various reactions as it has been considered that some information contained therein must be redacted for the purpose of safeguarding national security,” states the letter’s headline. It then goes on to detail instructions for dealing with four stages of zombie invasion: ambient zombie level, enhanced activity level, major outbreak, and zombie pandemic level. The rest of the report notes areas around town that are more prone to zombie invasion than others, and instructs the staff to whom the document was originally written to listen for certain codewords on radio and television that are indicative of a zombie invasion. Even more bizarre are the instructions for dealing with a zombie should an individual run into one. “Fully connect the brain-stem from the body through either blunt force of full head removal,” states the instructions. It also highlights the availability of handcuffs, tasers, protection suits, and other necessary equipment through the staff intranet. The document was released in accordance with a Freedom of Information request, and is oddly similar to the strange announcement made by the CDC back in May. China facing severe water crisis due to massive food production

We have relied too much on engineering projects, but the government realizes this is not a long-term solution,” he added. But how does a country the size of China reduce demand, especially during a period of rapid economic growth when the country is modernizing at a pace never seen before? Unless you physically eliminate the number of mouths to feed, Beijing can’t credibly “reduce demand.” “The water situation in the North China plain does not allow much longer for irrigation,” he added. “We need to reduce food production even though it is politically difficult. It would be much more economical to import.” That’s not a popular prospect for a nation struggling to emerge from centuries of second-class status. And yet, according to Zheng’s estimates, that may be the only choice to avoid mass starvation. He says the country has to increasingly rely on underground water sources to meet its demands – 70 percent of it now comes from underground, he said. That has had a dramatic effect on a number of aquifers, many of which are emptying at an alarming pace. In the meantime, the government plans to implement efficiency measures, but few think that is anything but a stopgap measure. That’s because usage is occurring faster than replenishment . In and around Chifeng city, in northern China, farmers have had to delay harvesting crops to avoid injury because fields are so dry they have developed cracks up to 32 feet deep. In fact, the city’s water bureau says 62 percent of its 51 reservoirs have run dry, leaving more than a quarter million people short of water. And the problem is spreading. In fact, hundreds of Chinese cities are facing water shortages. “Swelling numbers of Chinese can now afford piped water, private bathrooms, washing machines, homes with gardens, cars that need washing, and more food, which needs growing. Buying power also has led to a growing number of golf courses, and ski resorts that use man-made snow,” CNN reported. Why is China’s water shortage a big deal? Ohio cops tased mentally handicapped teenager with speech impediment for ‘disrespect’

(NaturalNews) The mother of a 17-year-old handicapped child is pressing charges against two head police officers, as well as the city of Dayton, Oh., after the two cops tased, pepper sprayed, and beat the disabled boy without cause. According to a report from Courthouse News Service (CNS), Officer Willie Hooper and Officer John Howard of the Dayton Police Department (DPD) allegedly mistook Jesse Kersey’s speech impediment for “disrespect,” and tracked the boy all the way home from where they first encountered him, and proceeded to brutalize the boy with all sorts of inappropriate assault tactics prior to finally arresting him. The report explains that Officer Hooper first stopped Jesse for an unknown reason while the boy was riding his bicycle, and proceeded to try to speak with him. Jesse, who was having difficulty trying to converse with the officer, decided to ride home and get his mother to help him communicate with the man. Hooper then followed the boy home along with Officer Howard, and before Jesse could even make it in the door, the two officers tased the young boy. Jesse’s mom, Pamela, stated that “[p]rior to the incident … Hooper knew Jesse was mentally challenged / handicapped and a minor child.” And a neighbor who witnessed the chase as Jesse was trying to return home also came out and tried to tell the cops that the boy was mentally challenged, only to be told to “go back into his home, or he would be arrested.” As Jesse finally made it through the doorway after being tased, the cops followed him inside and began to shoot pepper spray at him. Officer Howard then “struck Jesse with a closed fist in the upper chest area … and repeatedly struck Jesse in the upper left side of his left thigh.” And while all of this was occurring, roughly 20 more officers from various jurisdictions also arrived on the site. At no time during this outrageous abuse of police power did any officer ever attempt to communicate with either Jesse, his mother, the neighbor, or anyone else about Jesse’s condition, or even about why he was being pursued in the first place. Japan not hit by 9.0 quake? False flag nuclear weaponry actually destroyed Fukushima, claims report

(NaturalNews) What if the alleged 9.0+ magnitude mega earthquake that was said to have hit off the coast of Japan back on March 11 never actually happened, and the resultant tsunami that destroyed the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant was actually a deliberate, false flag attack using nuclear weapons? Even in a worst-case scenario where its fuel rods completely melt down, the type of explosion that would follow would not be capable of literally disintegrating Reactor 4′s thick, concrete walls, which is what actually occurred. And Reactor 4 was so heavily damaged by this explosion that it was expected to literally collapse. So what caused these massive explosions in Reactors 3 and 4 to occur? According to Stone, nuclear weaponry was used to forcibly demolish these structures.
