Blurred vision? Eye doctor myths exposed – learn how to exercise your eye muscles for restoring healthy vision and eliminating prescription glasses

(NaturalNews) You’re probably familiar with all sorts of mythologies promoted as “truisms” in modern medicine: Flu vaccines prevent the flu (they actually don’t), CT scans are harmless (they aren’t), chemotherapy works to save lives from cancer (it actually causes cancer), and so on. There are all sorts of falsehoods in dentistry, too: Mercury fillings are safe for you! (They aren’t.) Gum health has nothing to do with nutrition! (It does.) Cavities can only be treated by drilling, filling and billing! (Often just a money-making scam.) But did you also know that there are lies and mythologies promoted by eye doctors , too? Here’s a real whopper that’s told to almost everyone: The reason you need glasses when you get older is because — get this — your eyeball changes its shape! The only way your eyeballs change shape is if your skull gets cracked This “eyeball changes its shape” con is a clever scam because it convinces tens of millions of people to buy high-priced prescription glasses each year, usually from the very same vision centers that promote this total quackery. If you just ponder it for a moment, you’ll quickly realize how ludicrous the explanation really is. How can your eyeball change its shape when your eye SOCKET is made of bone? Think about it. For your eyeball to get “longer” as they often tell you, your very skull would have to alter its bone structure. And while that most certainly happens in infants and children, the human skull doesn’t keep shifting around when you’re an adult. Unless you’re run over by a truck or something, anyway, in which case blurred vision should be expected. No, the real problem with the vision of most people is not that “your eyeball is getting longer” (ridiculous!) but rather that your lens muscles are getting flabby and out of shape! How your lens muscles gets flabby and out of shape Your iris is a muscle that controls your pupil , which is like the aperture of a camera lens. Its job is to regulate the amount of light entering the eye. The iris is not our concern here because we’re more interested in the muscles that alter the shape of your lens. Those muscles are part of what’s called the ciliary body of your eye. The ciliary body contains muscles that, in real time, alter the curvature of your eye lens to achieve the proper focus of whatever scene you are observing (http://library.thinkquest.org/25607/anatomyParts.php3). “Proper focus” means altering the curvature of your lens so that the rays of light entering your eye fall on your retina with pinpoint accuracy. As any photographer well knows, your focus must be altered when viewing something right in front of you (a near object) versus something far away (a far object). In a camera, this change in focus is achieved by altering the distance between two lenses contained in what is commonly called a “camera lens” (it’s actually multiple lenses), but in the human eye, this is achieved by changing the shape of the lens through the contraction or relaxation of the ciliary muscles . You probably never noticed yourself doing this because you don’t feel your ciliary muscles working, but they achieve this focus for you thousands of times a day, automatically and without any effort on your part. Some people (like myself) have achieved conscious control over these muscles, and we can consciously choose to alter the focus of our eyes at any moment, regardless of what scene we’re looking at. But for most people, the function is their ciliary muscles is involuntary . (I’m in my 40′s and continue to have perfect vision, never needing contact lenses or glasses. I also boost my vision with nutrition such as astaxanthin, lutein and zeaxanthin supplements.) How to strengthen your ciliary muscles that control your eye lenses Like any muscle, the ciliary muscles can become weak . How does a muscle become weak? From lack of exercise , of course. If you want strong legs, you need to walk and run from time to time, right? Well, if you want a strong, functioning ciliary muscle set, you need to alternate your vision between near objects and far objects so that these muscles are challenged to stay strong. This also increases the flexibility (range of motion) of your eye lenses (sort of like yoga for your eyes). Now here’s the real kicker in all this: Most people in modern society never view anything far away anymore! They don’t live out in the country, in other words, so they’re not looking at something a mile away. No mountains are even visible in most cities, and peoples’ vision is focused entirely on things that are close. So their ciliary muscles are “locked” in a state of constant contraction. This causes these muscles to tighten, just like your leg muscles if you never stretch out from time to time. This is all made even worse by the television set — or perhaps your computer monitor. Today’s population spends so much time viewing mobile texting devices, cell phones, portable gaming devices and computer monitors that it’s amazing their ciliary muscles have any range of motion at all. Sooner or later, after a lack of exercise (i.e. focusing on things at various distances), your ciliary muscles get flabby while also losing range of motion and then your eye lenses can’t achieve the focus they’re supposed to. So instead of the light rays striking your retina where they’re supposed to, they may strike a point inside your eyeball a quarter inch in front of your retina instead (as an example, or in other cases it may be some distance behind your retina, which also causes blurred vision). This is where eye doctors get their ridiculous idea that “your eyeballs are too long!” That’s stupid. Your eyeballs aren’t “too long.” That’s just some mythology dreamed up by vision doctors to sell you more glasses. No, unless you’re a mutant or something, the real problem is that your ciliary muscles are too weak and lack range of motion to alter the curvature of your lenses. This problem, fortunately, can often be solved with simple exercises . (By the way, it should also be obvious from this that the very act of wearing contacts or wearing glasses makes your eye problem worse because it allows your ciliary muscles to stop working, relying on the artificial lenses of your glasses to do that work for you. In much the same way that taking insulin makes diabetes worse over the long haul, wearing glasses also makes your vision worse over time…) How to exercise your eyeballs and help restore healthy vision So what if there were a way to exercise your eyeballs and restore the strength and range of motion of your ciliary muscles? Would that restore normal vision? For many people, YES! Not for everyone, of course. There are other causes of poor vision, such as cataracts, neurological damage (aspartame!), cross-linked protein rigidity of the lens itself (poor nutrition) and so on. But in a surprisingly large number of cases, healthy vision can be restored through simple exercises that you can do at home, in just a few minutes a day, using only your eyes and a simple tool. That simple tool is a pair of pinhole glasses . They’re like exercise machines for your eyes. You simply wear them for a few minutes a day, then walk around and look at stuff . Click here to pick some up from the NaturalNews Store . How pinhole glasses exercise your ciliary muscles and help restore normal vision Looking through pinhole glasses, as simple as it sounds, causes the ciliary body of your eyes to engage in adaptive exercise that increases the range of motion of your ciliary muscles which control your lenses. This happens because the pinhole glasses are made with hundreds of tiny holes that change the light entering your eyes from an overpowering mass of light rays to a collection of lower-intensity, distinct light rays that effectively give your eyes a more “organized” pattern on which to focus. There’s probably a more technical explanation for all this, of course, but the practical upshot is that all sorts of people who suffer from vision problems — myopia, hyperopia, presbyopia, astigmatism, computer vision syndrome, and so on — often report instantly improved clarity of vision when wearing these pinhole glasses. It’s not magic, it’s just physics. If you force your eye lens muscles to adapt by challenging them, they will usually respond with improved function over time (just like building leg strength by walking or jogging). Even better, many people report ongoing improvements in their vision even after taking off these pinhole glasses. Looking through the pinholes, you see, exercises the muscles that control the shape of your lens, and as those muscles become stronger (over a period of several days and weeks), they become more capable of focusing light in the proper place on your retina. This means no more blurry vision. It’s the same principle as doing pull-ups to get a stronger upper body, or walking up flights of stairs to build stronger leg muscles. Your eye lenses are controlled by muscles , and like any muscle in your body, those muscles need to be challenged in order to stay strong and fully functional — and to restore their full, healthy range of motion . Click this link to pick up some pinhole glasses right now from the NaturalNews Store: http://www.naturalnews.com/NNStore-HolidaySpecials.html I find it interesting, by the way, that some people would rather have crutches than restore their normal healthy function. Have you ever seen those people zipping around in electric scooters at the grocery store? Many of those people used to be able to walk just fine! But then they started using the scooters as a convenience, and now — after a few months of that — their leg muscles have atrophied to the point where they can’t walk! Prescription glasses do the same thing to your eyes. Once you start using them, your ciliary muscles atrophy to the point where you need those glasses just to see clearly. The vision industry, not surprisingly, makes money off consumer ignorance. It’s not in their interests to teach people how to restore your own healthy vision without needing prescription glasses. This is the same way that the pharmaceutical industry doesn’t want you to prevent disease because they make more money when you stay sick! The safest and most affordable way to improve vision for many Pinhole glasses are a safe and affordable way to take responsibility for your eye health and potentially avoid costly and inconvenient contact lenses or glasses forever. These pinhole glasses cost about the same as a pair of sunglasses at the grocery store, and they’re not medical devices at all, so they need no prescription. They contain no lenses themselves, either. Safety note: Do not wear pinhole glasses while driving or operating heavy machinery such as an airplane, a military humvee or a wrecking ball crane. These glasses partially obscure vision and should be used solely as exercise devices in a safe environment like your home. They don’t work for every case of vision impairment, of course, as there are many causes for blurred vision. But they work remarkably well for most people who try them. And there’s no risk in trying, since you can return them to our store if they don’t work for you, so there’s zero risk in finding out if your own vision problem might be partially or fully resolved by simply exercising your eyes. Pinhole sunglasses are available now at the NaturalNews Store Holiday Specials page: http://www.naturalnews.com/NNStore-HolidaySpecials.html We’ve heard countless success stories from people wearing these simple devices. Try them yourself to see how they might help you! And remember, our satisfaction guarantee means there’s no risk in trying these to see how they might help you live with stronger, more flexible eye muscles. Zero-cost options you can achieve on your own Another way to approach this is to simply exercise the range of motion of your ciliary muscles by alternating between focusing on close objects versus far away objects (such as the horizon). This is most easily accomplished from inside your home, near a window. Simply look at something on your desk, then look at something outside your window that’s far, far away (ideally, at the horizon). Alternate this process several times, then rest your eyes, and then repeat. Do this daily for a few minutes each day. With added nutritional support for eye health (lutein, zeaxanthin, astaxanthin and so on), these exercises can, over time, enhance the range of motion of your ciliary muscles and eye lenses. With these exercises, you may discover that you are able to reduce the intensity of your prescription glasses , step by step, until one day you don’t need them at all. The pinhole glasses may help accelerate this process even more, in much the same way that working out with weights is a faster way to build muscle strength than working out with no weights at all. The most important point in all this is to realize that blurred vision is not some sort of permanent eye damage but usually just a functional aberration that can often be resolved through training. In much the same way that physical therapy can help people rebuild functional muscle mass in their legs, arms or torso, eye exercises can help rebuild functional strength in your eyes. It’s the greatest secret of the eyeglasses industry: Many people don’t need eye glasses! Many people don’t need contact lenses! What they need is eye exercise . But don’t expect the for-profit vision industry to tell you about any of that. Like Big Pharma, they only make money when people stay victims and believe they cannot help themselves. Here at NaturalNews, we specialize in teaching people how to restore health by taking responsibility for their own health outcomes, thereby avoiding the outrageous costs (and inhumane suffering) caused by the medical industry.

Listening to radio healthier than watching TV

(NaturalNews) Sitting in front of the television for hours on end is not healthy. Listening to the radio is a better alternative. According to new British research, time spent listening to the radio makes people happier and gives them higher energy levels overall compared to television viewing and surfing the Internet. In a survey of 1,000 Britons, a study called, “Media and the Mood of the Nation,” respondents reported a 100 percent lift in spirits and a 300 boost in levels of happiness when listening to radio programs compared to all other media. And while TV and Internet also lifted moods, those activities didn’t come close to radio’s positive mental effects. “People are the happiest and most energetic when listening to radio. It plays an important emotional role in people’s lives,” Mark Barber, planning director at the Radio Advertising Bureau, which commissioned the research, told Britain’s Telegraph newspaper. “People use radio as a lifestyle support system and to make themselves feel better about their lives… Our latest research highlights the immense potential of radio to influence emotions,” he said. Lots of previous research has shown that watching TV can be hazardous to your mental health. For example, a 2009 Princeton University study found that too much television causes aggressive behavior in children, especially children who are exposed to an excessive amount early in life. The study concluded that too much TV contributed to social and behavioral problems later in life. Another study found that children who eat in front of the television tend to take in more calories, which, of course, adds more to their waistlines. In that study, researchers found that kids who ate in front of the TV consumed, on average, 228 calories more than kids who didn’t. And those calories add up over time, as other research has found that childhood obesity is at epidemic levels indicate. Still another study found that excessive television viewing by teens increased their risk of depression. Throw in too much X-box 360 and the risk is even higher. The fact is, getting off the couch and doing something more productive with your time will keep you healthier and happier. Just imagine how much better you would feel walking, jogging, biking or working out while listening to the radio or an iPod. What a concept.

EPA to raise limits for radiation exposure while Canada turns off fallout detectors

April 5, 2011 by

(NaturalNews) The mass radioactive contamination of our planet is now under way thanks to the astonishing actions taking place at the Fukushima nuclear facility in Japan. As of last night, TEPCO announced it is releasing 10,000 tons of radioactive water directly into the Pacific Ocean. That 2.4 million gallons of planetary poison being dumped directly into the ocean. This water is being released because they have run out of places to keep it on land. It’s too deadly to transport anywhere else, and all the storage pools around Fukushima are already overflowing. So they’re dumping it into the ocean, then calling it “safe” because they claim the ocean will “disperse” all the radiation and make it harmless. But because there’s more radioactive water being produced every day at Fukushima, this process of releasing radioactive water into the ocean could theoretically continue for years , easily making Fukushima the worst nuclear disaster in the history of our world. Quick, fudge the numbers before anybody notices! Fukushima, you see, is doing to the Pacific Ocean what BP and the Deepwater Horizon did to the Gulf of Mexico last summer. Except that in the case of Fukushima, that radiation doesn’t just disappear with the help of millions of gallons of toxic chemicals. Nope, that radiation sticks around for decades . So what to do? If you’re the United States Environment Protection Agency, there’s only one option: Declare radiation to be safe! Yes indeed, friends, we have reached a moment of comedic insanity at the EPA, where those in charge of protecting the environment are hastily rewriting the definition of “radioactive contamination” in order to make sure that whatever fallout reaches the United States falls under the new limits of “safe” radiation. The EPA maintains a set of so-called “Protective Action Guides” (PAGs). These PAGs are being quickly revised to radically increase the allowable levels of iodine-131 (a radioactive isotope) to anywhere from 3,000 to 100,000 times the currently allowable levels. The group Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (PEER) is all over this issue, having obtained internal emails from a FOIA requests that reveal some truly shocking revelations of the level of back-stabbing betrayal happening inside the EPA. For example, under the newly-revised PAGs, drinking just one glass of water considered “safe” by the EPA could subject you to the lifetime limit of radiation . (http://www.peer.org/news/news_id.php?row_id=1325) “In addition,” PEER goes on to say, “it would allow long-term cleanup limits thousands of times more lax than anything EPA has ever before accepted. These new limits would cause a cancer in as much as every fourth person exposed.” These new PAGs would also vastly increase the allowable levels of radiation in soil and food, too. That way, when the radioactive fallout from Fukushima’s massive release of raw radioactive water begins to rain down upon the West Coast, the EPA can officially announce that all the radiation is “below accepted limits.” That’s very comforting to many people, you see. And why is it below the limits? Because the EPA just raised the limits by as much as 100,000 times! Quack science is alive and well as the government Truly, this is science at its most delightful. When the facts don’t fit your fairy tale, simply rewrite the fairy tale to discard the facts! That’s science for you today, folks: There’s nothing that can’t be denied, censored, oppressed or ignored if you just fudge the numbers with enough determination and arrogance. The U.S. government does the exact same thing with vitamin D, of course. By lowering the definition of vitamin D deficiency to mean only those with a blood level below 30, the government magically and instantly transforms a wildly deficient American population into a “sufficiently nourished” population! It’s magic, friends. Magic with numbers. But even the EPA’s sleight-of-hand magic isn’t fooling very many people this time around. Even the most TV-obsessed, CNN-watching news zombie has by now figured out that too much radiation is bad for you. After all, the media has been screaming at people about the dangers of sunlight radiation for years, insisting that the mere act of sunlight touching your skin could kill you from skin cancer. And yet, thanks to the EPA’s magically-morphing numbers, even though sunlight radiation might kill you, Fukushima radiation is perfectly safe for ya! You have a front row seat in this entertaining charade Isn’t it amazing? Watching the U.S. government try to fudge its way out of the physical realities of Fukushima probably beats the best stage magic show you’ll ever find in Vegas. Sure, in Vegas they can make white tigers disappear right in front of your very eyes, but with the help of the U.S. government, they can cause the world’s largest nuclear catastrophe to vanish by simply redefining radiation exposure limits. You may wonder, dear readers, where the U.S. government learned these amazing and fantastic tricks of fudging the numbers. The answer, as regular NaturalNews know all too well, is that they learned it from the U.S. Treasury , where fudging the numbers is an essential skill to keep things running. After all, if the federal government can pretend that trillions of dollars in toxic debt have no impact on the U.S. economy, it’s a no-brainer to also pretend that massive doses of radioactive fallout have no impact on environmental health, either. That’s the new mantra in Washington: We just wish it away! It should be Obama’s new campaign slogan, actually: Are you ready to wish it all away? Watch the distraction in my right hand while I steal the money out of your wallet with my left… British scientists have the solution: Spread it all around! Getting back to the absolutely glowing situation in Fukushima, if you can’t believe the U.S. EPA, then perhaps you can take comfort in the authoritative words of a British newspaper, which assures us that: “Scientists also confirmed that ocean currents will swiftly dilute the radioactive iodine-131, eliminating risks to human health and the environment.” (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/japan/8425719/Japan-nuclear-crisis-workers-using-newspaper-and-sawdust-to-block-pipes.html) Surely this logic is impeccable, no? Any amount of toxic radiation can simply be declared safe by dumping it into the ocean and watching the waves sweep it all away. By this same logic, you could clean up a toxic chemical spill by swishing it around with wet mops and then declaring the zone to be safe again. Didn’t we try this already with pesticides, herbicides and agricultural runoff? And didn’t it create massive ocean dead zones all around the planet? Now we’re going to add Chernobyl-sized radiation releases to that equation, too? Fukushima is a massive dirty bomb I’m reminded that if an Islamic-looking individual conducted such an act anywhere near a U.S. shoreline, it would be considered an act of terrorism . A dirty bomb, actually. And those individuals would be shipped off the Guantanamo Bay to be interrogated in a facility that President Obama once promised the voters would be closed down if he were elected. He was lying, of course. But that’s not even the news here. Everybody already knows he was lying about Gitmo. So why is unleashing a dirty bomb an act of terrorism if you’re Islamic-looking, but if you’re Japanese suddenly it’s all officially safe? And by what contortions in its twisted agenda of anti-public service does the EPA go to these extraordinary lengths to redefine the very margins of radiation exposure? If Fukushima goes into a total meltdown, will the EPA just add more zeroes to the end of its safety margin numbers until we’re all assured our food is U.S. government approved 100% safe even while our hair falls out from eating it? Will the FDA soon tell us that radioactive milk is safe to drink , but RAW milk is deadly? Canada tries to out-stupid the USA Ah, the fascination of watching this tragic comedy of errors unfold in the U.S. government almost cannot be exceeded. But Canada is sure trying. Its own nuclear monitoring network has simply been shut off, and its website now reads “Please note that as of March 25, 2011, the frequency of data collection by NRCan using the mobile surveys has been decreased due to the low levels of radiation being detected.” Seriously, see the bottom of the page: http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/hc-ps/ed-ud/respond/nuclea/_data/nrcan-rncan-eng.php Yep, since they’re detecting low levels of radiation, this is apparently justification for turning off the monitors altogether , which of course is the kind of brilliant early warning plan that could have only been dreamed up by a brain-dead bureaucrat. It’s as if these morons are sitting around a table having a conversation that goes something like this: Bureaucratic Moron #1: Remember how we spent a hundred million dollars installing a national network of radiation detectors? Bureaucratic Moron #2: Yeah. Bureaucratic Moron #1: And remember how we started to detect some of the radioactive fallout from Fukushima as it began raining down upon Canada? Bureaucratic Moron #2: Yeah. Bureaucratic Moron #1: Well, I have a great idea. Let’s turn OFF all the detectors so that we stop detecting radiation! Bureaucratic Moron #2: That’s brilliant! You’re a genius! Bureaucratic Moron #1: I know I am. And we wouldn’t want to waste this expensive equipment, you know. Bureaucratic Moron #2: Right, we want to save it for a scenario when we might really need it, eh? Bureaucratic Moron #1: Exactly! And we’ll save millions of dollars in operating fees, because the best way to save money on radiation detectors is to not use them. Bureaucratic Moron #2: You’re a genius! You should run for Prime Minister! Yes there is a plan, but you’re not in it Obama, of course, is trying to best his Canadian counterpart by simply urging the American people to do nothing in the case of radioactive fallout. Don’t worry, my little consumer sheeple, you don’t need to prepare in any way whatsoever, Obama says from his nuclear fallout shelter that’s stocked with 10 years of food, water, emergency medical supplies, government ammunition and military communications equipment. It’s okay for the President to prepare for emergencies, I guess. Just not YOU. There is a plan, you see, for the government to survive every disaster that comes our way. You’re just not part of it. The government feels that its own survival is far more important than yours. And just to make sure you don’t interfere with its own plans, the government is going to turn off the radiation detectors, raise the official EPA limits of radioactive exposure, urge Americans to avoid preparing for fallout, and then pretend absolutely nothing’s wrong. Keep on buying, consuming and paying your bills, all you voters! Punch your time clock at your job if you still have one, and don’t ask any questions about radiation, vaccines or the chemical additives they put in hot dogs. Some food ingredients, you see, are only disclosed on a need-to-know basis. And you don’t need to know. Run for the cure. Vote in the next election. Buy diet sodas and watch lots of sports programs on television with occasional interruptions from the news programs now featuring “info babes” regurgitating scripted mindless propaganda bracketed by flying news network logos. Report suspicious activities at Wal-Mart (http://naturalnews.tv/v.asp?v=5A4B5D4B84344D5D9CBD262A53D8B071). Call 911 on your Arab-looking neighbors just because they look Arab-looking. Watch “Ow, My Balls!” on your television set (http://www.naturalnews.com/021558_Idiocracy_Hollywood.html) and stop thinking about your future. Your government already has your future planned for you. That’s why there’s no need for you to expend any effort considering it yourself. Why bother thinking when you can just passively consume everything you’re being spoon-fed by the State? And don’t worry about the radioactive fallout. It’s all safe now. I’ve been assured of that by the EPA.

Christian coalition founder Pat Robertson calls for decriminalization of marijuana

(NaturalNews) Sending young people to prison for marijuana possession and use is not a good thing, said 700 Club founder Pat Robertson on a recent segment. Also founder of the Christian Coalition and former Republican candidate for President, Robertson expressed opposition to the current war on drugs, particularly as it pertains to marijuana use, saying that the government needs to reevaluate its position on marijuana and stop sending people to prison for it. “I’m not exactly for the use of drugs, don’t get me wrong, but I just believe that criminalizing marijuana, criminalizing the possession of a few ounces of pot, that kinda thing it’s just, it’s costing us a fortune and it’s ruining young people,” expressed Robertson on his television news program. “Young people go into prisons, they go in as youths and come out as hardened criminals. That’s not a good thing.” Since the segment first aired, Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) spokesman Chris Roslan told The Raw Story that Robertson “did not call for the decriminalization of marijuana,” but instead was “advocating that our government revisit the severity of the existing laws because mandatory drug sentences do harm to many young people who go to prison and come out as hardened criminals.” Either way, Robertson says that Christian outreach ministries that support drug law reform have it right because their programs help save millions in public tax dollars and reduce the number of prisoners who return to jail for repeat offenses by helping them directly rather than just shipping them off to jail. And the programs could help save even more money and achieve better results if current drug laws were lifted. “[M]andatory sentences needlessly cost our government millions of dollars when there are better approaches available,” added Roslan. “Dr. Robertson’s comments followed a CBN News story about a group of conservatives who have proven that faith-based rehabilitation for criminals has resulted in lower repeat offenders and saved the government millions of dollars. Dr. Robertson unequivocally stated that he is against the use of illegal drugs.” Other conservative-leaning, Christian groups have also expressed uncharacteristic views on marijuana, including the Council of Churches and Church IMPACT, both of which supported California’s failed marijuana legalization initiative Proposition 13. Good health is no accident

(NaturalNews) Those who seek answers for their health outside the realm of their own decisions are looking in the wrong place. Health is no accident. Lasting health can only appear as the result of a lifetime of informed, deliberate decisions aligned with nature’s principles of health, not the distorted version of health promoted by our backward system of mainstream medicine. And yet many people still believe that health is something that is bestowed upon them by some mysterious exterior force. The whole effort to raise money to find “the cure” for cancer, for example, is a powerful demonstration of misplaced faith in external healing. This idea that a cure for cancer must come from outside one’s self rather than from within is perhaps the greatest conceptual sleight of hand that has yet been pulled off by the sick-care industry. The cure for cancer is already programmed within. Each person is born with a highly-advanced cellular nanotechnology that already knows how to cure cancer. Activating this inner healing potential is all that’s necessary to prevent and cure cancer everywhere around the world, starting right now. Health happens through you, not to you And yet the masses continue to eat cancer-causing foods and pursue cancer-causing lifestyles even while blindly handing over their money in the form of donations to organizations that they naively hope will come along and “save them” someday. Think carefully about this dynamic: The person believes health is something that happens TO them rather than something that happens THROUGH them. And so they remain stuck, floundering in a pattern of self-inflicted sickness and disease while hoping that some other organization, government or health care plan will somehow save them. While they wait for that external solution, disease and sickness creeps up on them. Obesity is what happens when a person spends each day imagining how much they’re going to start exercising tomorrow . Cancer is what happens when a person spends each day eating cancer-causing foods and donating money to Komen for the Cure rather than just getting some sunshine to boost their own vitamin D. Disease is what happens when people believe they have no role in their own health outcome. So they eat for entertainment rather than for nourishment, and they live for product-induced external stimulation rather than internal fulfillment. Woosh — right over their heads! At this point in this article, by the way, we’ve already lost 99 out of 100 mainstream people. These concepts — that health is no accident — are so foreign to the average pre-programmed consumer that they are incapable of recognizing them, much less embracing them. They’ve been told so many times that health comes through intervention (vaccines, pharmaceuticals, chemotherapy, etc.) that the idea of health being created from within just doesn’t compute for them. And that’s the way mainstream medicine likes it. A population that believes it has no control over its own health is ripe for exploitation by a highly interventionist medical industry. Those who have lost hope in their own inner health potential tend to place their hope in things like silly pink-ribbon fundraisers that promise to “end breast cancer forever” — a wishy-washy idea that lies somewhere between poetic fiction and outright marketing fraud. Cancer can never be “cured” through any external, artificial means, regardless of how many billions of dollars are thrown at it. Trying to cure cancer with synthetic medications makes about as much sense as trying to cure illiteracy by feeding children “reading pills.” Health is a determined path, not an accidental occurrence Health, like learning to read, is something that must be pursued through dedicated self-advancement. Neither literacy nor health can be endowed upon you with the flick of a magic (medication) wand. They cannot be injected into you through a needle. They can only be achieved by teaching each person how to own their results . If you wish to learn how to read, for example, you must first accept responsibility that no one else can read for you. YOU must go through the learning and advancement curve if you wish to experience the positive results of being literate. It’s the same with health: If you wish to express health literacy , no one else can do it for you — no doctor, no vaccine, no cancer non-profit group and certainly not pink buckets of Kentucky Fried Chicken. You must grasp the controls over your own health destination. Take responsibility for the results you are creating with each and every decision you make: Decisions about food, stress, sleep, the use of your mind, the use of your free time, the personal care products you use, etc. Be an adult If you accept responsibility for your own health, then you are an adult . Children, on the other hand, take no responsibility for themselves and instead rely on outside factors to determine their experience. A child’s happiness, sadness and other circumstances depend almost entirely on what’s happening externally at that moment. Adulthood is only achieved when a person grasps the level of maturity necessary to allow their inner expressions to override external influences . An adult is someone who can achieve their own health, learning, happiness or bliss without needing to turn to external (artificial) stimulations to mimic such conditions. A child mind, for example, uses food as entertainment, television as distraction and condescension as an affirmation of self importance. This is the role of much of reality television , for example: To allow the viewing audience to feel important by offering them a visual forum through which they can express judgmental views at the inadequate people being paraded in front of them through artificial constructs of staged emotional drama. In other words, you get to judge people and hurl verbal insults at them. “She’s got fake boobs! My gosh!” Consumption is a one-way street As you’ve probably already noticed, most of the mainstream population operates from the child mindset. They are consumers , begging to be distracted, injected, entertained, medicated and told how to live, think and feel (and vote). The idea of stepping outside this preprogrammed existence and exploring the world from an adult mindset is downright frightening to these people. Approaching the world from a point of view that acknowledges self-responsibility means casting aside all the convenient comforts of living life as a child and instead bracing yourself for the harsh reality of taking responsibility for your own decisions. Being a child is so much easier, isn’t it? If you’re just a child, you can’t be blamed for bad results. It’s always someone else’s fault. (How long do I have to wait for Komen to actually FIND the cure, anyway? Can I keep eating bacon in the mean time?) Most people, no matter what their age, have still not achieved self-responsibility. Most people are engorged in their television, gossip, fast food, chemical addictions and illusions of health that they’ve acquired by purchasing “trans fat free” processed foods or “high fiber” breakfast cereal laced with sugar. They are the minds of children living in deteriorating adult bodies while begging for magical medical interventions that will never exist. My greatest wish is that our population of humans on our planet will grow up and embrace adulthood. Only through educated, responsible decisions that consider the long-term consequences of our immediate actions can individuals — or humanity — hope to evolve into a sustainable species. The failure of mainstream humans to understand simple concepts like “health is no accident” are merely a reflection of the far wider and more dangerous failures to understand the dynamics of sustainable life on a self-contained planet in a vast and formidable universe. If we cannot attain the level of adulthood to take care of our own bodies, how on earth can we expect to achieve the level of consciousness necessary to function as stewards for the only habitable planet we know of in our entire universe? Humanity remains in its infancy. Those of us who accept responsibility for our own actions are living as rare observers in a world run by children, populated by children and now being destroyed by children — all in adult bodies, of course. The childish concepts of selfish thinking and “that’s MINE!” are the lifeblood of our world’s largest corporations which seek to own everything they touch, much like little children licking all the cookies to claim them as personal property. Corporations, for the most part, are immature expressions of economic selfishness that cater to immature consumers who have not yet decided to embrace adult-class self responsibility. The entire free market, in fact, is driven primarily by childish selfish greed rather than ideas of compassion for fellow human beings or business models based on determined sustainability rather than consumption gullibility. Even most of the non-profits, which are supposed to be based on compassion, have turned into childish, greed-driven money expansion machines that only seek to rake in more profits at any cost to society. Nowhere is this more evident than in the cancer industry, where both the American Cancer Society and Komen for the Cure have become financial juggernauts by promising cures for cancer but delivering nothing but more disease to the people. (Mammograms cause cancer, for example.) It is no accident, either, that in our time of the greatest disease ever witnessed on planet earth, we also live among the most powerful and exploitative “disease non-profits” that promise health salvation if we would only give them another few billion dollars. As long as childish thinking dominates modern society, such fraudulent non-profits will continue to prey upon the externalization of health tendencies of the population. The greatest fear of every disease non-profit front group is that mainstream consumers might wake up, take charge of their own health, begin to make informed decisions about preventing disease and thereby make the disease non-profits largely irrelevant. How convenient it is, then, that the very products now used to raise money for the cancer industry non-profits are the same ones that promote cancer, heart disease, obesity and dull minds.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure makes mockery of self with KFC pinkwashing campaign (opinion)

(NaturalNews) Susan G. Komen for the Cure has now crossed the line into asinine idiocy thanks to its new alliance with Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), where pink buckets of fried chicken are sold under the slogan, “Buckets for the Cure.” I’m not making this up. See the ad image yourself at: http://www.naturalnews.com/images/KFC-PinkChickenBuckets.jpg This idea that buying fried chicken is actually going to cure cancer is one of the most utterly idiotic health ideas yet witnessed in American pop culture. Komen for the Cure is so far gone from reality that the organization apparently doesn’t even think twice about suggesting such an absurd idea. Eat more fried chicken, folks, and then what? Loading up on that kind of a diet is more likely to cause you to kick the bucket than to find a cure for cancer. Does fried chicken actually promote cancer? Fried chicken, you see, is coated in starches. The recipe for the KFC chicken batter is basically flour, sugar, salt, black pepper and monosodium glutamate (MSG). All by itself, this is a recipe for chronic degenerative disease because the flour and sugar are highly processed, and the MSG is an excitotoxin that Dr. Russell Blaylock links to obesity, cancer and neurological disorders. And the chicken meat itself? That’s another cruel story on top of that (read more below). When you fry starches at high temperatures, you also create acrylamides , toxic chemical by-products of cooking that are believed by many health experts to promote cancer (http://www.naturalnews.com/acrylamides.html). One scientific study, for example, demonstrated that eating acrylamides boosts kidney cancer rates by 59 percent . Acrylamides are also linked to ovarian cancer. The Komen pinkwashing fraud So now we’ve got Susan G. Komen for the Cure actually promoting foods that promote cancer . It just boggles the mind, but it’s entirely consistent with what I’ve said about Komen for the Cure in the past: The organization is a drug-company-funded front group that actually promotes cancer in my opinion. I see it as engaged in outright fraud by scamming consumers out of their money while claiming to be “searching for a cure” when, in reality, most of the money raised by the group actually goes to pay for more mammograms that cause cancer (http://www.naturalnews.com/027742_mammography_radiation.html). If Susan G. Komen for the Cure were using such tactics to promote herbal remedies, it would have been shut down and its executives arrested long ago as fraudulent quacks. But because the group is so strongly aligned with the profiteering, powerful drug companies, it continues to get away with these utterly fraudulent marketing gimmicks without suffering a single investigation from the FTC, Dept. of Justice or even any mainstream newspaper. Why is it that Komen for the Cure can actually promote products that cause cancer and no one seems to notice the outright hypocrisy? Why aren’t the quack-watching websites screaming about the quackery of selling cancer-causing foods to raise money to fight cancer? Why isn’t 20/20 or 60 Minutes or some other television investigative show taking a look at the outright fraud being perpetrated against consumers? Where are the comedian hosts of the show “B.S.” when it comes to exposing the fraud and quackery of the cancer industry? The silence tells you everything: The cancer industry gets a free pass. As long as these organizations run around toting pink ribbons, they can get away with anything… including fraud. The cruelty of Susan G. Komen for the Cure It’s not just about fried chicken promoting cancer, by the way. By linking up with KFC, Susan G. Komen is also promoting extreme animal cruelty . Undercover investigations of KFC chicken suppliers, conducted by PETA (www.PETA.org), have shown chickens being beaten, thrown against walls, abused and even spray-painted by malicious workers. The website www.KentuckyFriedCruelty.com reveals the horrifying details of how KFC suppliers treat chickens before they are served up to consumers in pink “Komen for the Cure” buckets: “KFC suppliers cram birds into huge waste-filled factories, breed and drug them to grow so large that they can’t even walk, and often break their wings and legs. At slaughter, the birds’ throats are slit and they are dropped into tanks of scalding-hot water — often while they are still conscious. It would be illegal for KFC to abuse dogs, cats, pigs, or cows in these ways. KFC’s own animal welfare advisors have asked the company to take steps to eliminate these abuses, but KFC refuses to do so. Many advisors have now resigned in frustration.” The actions of KFC suppliers against chicken are so unbelievably cruel and inhumane that even the Dalai Lama has spoken out against it. Celebrities like Pamela Anderson have boycotted KFC, saying: “Cruelty is cruelty, and KFC is being cruel in the extreme. I am calling for a boycott of all KFC restaurants until my friends at PETA tell me that you have agreed to be kinder in your practices.” Her friends include His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Phil Collins, Fall Out Boy, Pink, Paul McCartney, The Black Eyed Peas, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) President and CEO Kweisi Mfume, among others. (http://edition.cnn.com/2003/BUSINESS/10/17/anderson.kfc/index.html) Here’s a more complete list of those speaking out against KFC’s cruelty: http://www.kentuckyfriedcruelty.com/c-celebs.asp Undercover investigations of KFC have also exposed some extremely disturbing cases of bizarre cruelty. As explained at http://www.kentuckyfriedcruelty.com/u-undercover.asp “Every time undercover investigators enter the facilities of KFC’s suppliers, they find hideous abuse and suffering. At one KFC ‘Supplier of the Year’ slaughterhouse in West Virginia, workers were caught tearing birds’ heads off, ripping them apart, spitting tobacco into their eyes, spray-painting their faces, and throwing them against walls — all while the birds were still conscious and able to feel pain.” By allying itself with KFC, Susan G. Komen for the Cure is endorsing animal cruelty. It is promoting an extremely unhealthy product line containing chemicals linked to cancer, and it’s doing all this under the fraudulent marketing claim of “raising money to cure cancer.” But the story gets even more disturbing when you look at the ingredients in KFC foods… The toxic ingredients in KFC foods Kentucky Fried Chicken is one of the fast food industry’s largest users of MSG. This taste-exciting chemical (excitotoxin) is found in so many of KFCs products that it’s nearly impossible to eat a typical meal at KFC without ingesting it. KFC has also traditionally used oils containing trans fats, thereby exposing its customers to ingredients that promote heart disease. A few years ago, the CSPI filed a lawsuit against KFC to try to force it to switch to trans-fat-free oils. The result? “In October 2006, KFC announced that it would begin frying its chicken in trans fat-free oil. This would also apply to their potato wedges and other fried foods, however, the biscuits, macaroni and cheese, and mashed potatoes would still contain trans fat. Trans fat-free soybean oil was introduced in all KFC restaurants in the U.S. by April 30, 2007.” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KFC) What’s interesting about all this is that even the founder of KFC, Colonel Sanders , was strongly critical of the way the corporate profiteers altered his original recipe after buying the company. KFC was bought out in 1964, and Colonel Sanders soon said this: “They prostituted every goddamn thing I had. I had the greatest gravy in the world and those sons of bitches — they dragged it out and extended it and watered it down that I’m so goddamn mad.” (Ritzer, George, 2004. The McDondaldization of Society. New York: Pine Forge Press. p. 64.) KFC’s ingredients are toxic to human health? What other chemical ingredients might you find in KFC foods? The company actually publishes a list of ingredients for its menu items. I went through that list and found all the following ingredients on the KFC menu: • Partially hydrogenated soybean oil (contains trans fats) • High-Fructose Corn Syrup (linked to diabetes) • Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) (linked to cancer) • Titanium Dioxide (used in sunscreen) • Yellow #5 (chemical coloring) • Propylene Glycol (used as antifreeze in RVs) • Rendered Beef Fat (gross) • Red #40 (another chemical coloring) • Sodium nitrite (linked to pancreatic cancer) • Soy Protein Concentrate (may be processed with hexane) • Sugar (refined) • Sodium Benzoate (chemical preservative) • Hydrolyzed Corn, Soy and Wheat Protein (may contain hidden MSG) • Beef Extract (eww) • Corn Syrup Solids (more processed sugars) • Liquid Margarine • Sodium Caseinate • Autolyzed Yeast Extract (another hidden source of MSG) … and lots more. Read the ingredients yourself at: http://www.kfc.com/nutrition/pdf/kfc_ingredients_apr10.pdf Just so you know how all these chemicals come together, here’s an ingredients list from just ONE product on the KFC menu: Boneless Wings. See if you can count how many times MSG appears in this recipe : (emphasis added) Boneless Wings Ingredients: Wing Shaped White Chicken Fritter Pieces, Seasoning (Salt, Monosodium Glutamate , Garlic Powder, Spice Extractives, and Onion Powder), Soy Protein Concentrate, Rice Starch, Sodium Phosphates. Battered With: Water, Wheat Flour, Leavening (Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Monocalcium Phosphate), Salt, Dextrose, and Monosodium Glutamate . Breaded With: Wheat Flour, Salt, Soy Flour, Leavening (Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate and Sodium Bicarbonate), Monosodium Glutamate , Nonfat Dry Milk, Dextrose, Extractives of Tumeric and Extractives of Annatto. Predusted With: Wheat Flour, Wheat Gluten, Salt, Dried Egg Whites, Leavening (Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, and Sodium Bicarbonate), Monosodium Glutamate and Spice, Breading set in Vegetable Oil. Gee, just what America needs to be healthy, huh? Fried MSG. Destruction of the rainforest As reported about KFC on Wikipedia: • KFC has been accused by Greenpeace of a large destruction of the Amazon Rainforest because the supply of soy used for chicken food that KFC receives from Cargill has been traced back to the European KFC. Cargill has reportedly been exporting soy illegally for several years. …Greenpeace has called on KFC to stop purchasing soy from Cargill, to avoid contributing to the destruction of the Amazon. According to a press release issued by Greenpeace, KFC was exposed for trashing the Amazon rainforest for buckets of chicken (http://www.greenpeace.org/international/press/releases/kfc-exposed-for-trashing-the-a) • Recent Greenpeace investigations have traced the chain of rainforest destruction directly from the heart of the Amazon, via Cargill’s facility, to KFC’s European restaurants, which sell bucket-loads of cheap soya-fed chicken to millions of people every day. “Deforestation, slavery, use of toxic chemicals, land theft, illegal farming and the extinction of rare species are a recipe for disaster in the Amazon rainforest, but they are ingredients in KFC’s quest for cheap animal feed,” said Greenpeace International Forest Campaign Coordinator Gavin Edwards. “Fast food companies like KFC must take Amazon deforestation off their menu before it is too late for the world’s greatest rainforest.” Susan G. Komen, cancer industry front group Add all this up, and you get a frightening picture of what Susan G. Komen for the Cure actually stands for. By aligning itself with KFC: • Komen for the Cure endorses cancer-causing foods. • Komen for the Cure supports extreme animal cruelty. • Komen for the Cure is contributing to the destruction of the rainforest. • Komen for the Cure is destroying health while claiming to protect it. I believe that Susan G. Komen for the Cure is a cancer industry front group that actually promotes cancer, disease and destruction . It seems to me that the group has no intention of ever curing anything. The word “cure” is just a marketing gimmick used to extract money from gullible consumers. Conventional medicine doesn’t even believe in a cure for cancer! Notice, too, how Komen for the Cure absolutely refuses to teach women about vitamin D? Where is the anti-cancer nutrition message that could help women prevent breast cancer? It’s nowhere to be found. Instead of teaching women how to be healthy, Komen for the Cure is out there promoting buckets of fried chicken laced with MSG . Of course, it’s all good business for the drug companies and medical imaging companies that give money to Komen for the Cure. The organization’s biggest sponsors are — surprise! — the corporations that profit from cancer through chemotherapy and radiation. To them, Komen for the Cure isn’t really about finding a cure for cancer; it’s about promoting cancer so that they can sell more drugs and radiotherapy that keeps more patients locked into a cycle of dependence on toxic cancer treatments. See, if you want to cause cancer, one way to do it is to irradiate women’s breasts with mammogram machines. Another way is to promote foods laced with chemicals that cause cancer. Susan G. Komen for the Cure does both . Think Products? Think again… You know who else partners with Susan G. Komen for the Cure from the natural products industry? Think Bars . ThinkProducts actually held a Susan G. Komen “fashion show” at Expo West a couple of years ago. Here’s the language that was used to describe this: “Created in partnership with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure , the event was both a fundraiser, an opportunity to promote awareness of how healthy choices can help prevent disease, as well as aid those currently dealing with cancer or other illnesses. Designed to create awareness of women’s cancers and the impact of toxic exposure in everything from clothing, cosmetics and cleaning supplies, the event was a terrific moment…” (http://www.naturalbusinessnews.com/levine_report.php5?id=259) Gee, were they serving greasy buckets of fried chicken there, too? So I wonder if ThinkProducts CEO Lizanne Falsetto still endorses Komen for the Cure now that they’re pushing buckets of fried chicken made with MSG? Maybe they’ll come out with a “No-Think Bar” laced with MSG and Sodium Nitrite, just like you find in KFC menu items. Stop thinking and just buy stuff, you fools! That’s really the whole theme of the pink ribbon cancer industry fraud anyway, isn’t it? Stop thinking. Just buy crap. If it’s pink, just buy it. Don’t even think about it. Don’t ask questions like “Where is this money going” or “How does this money actually help cure cancer?” Or, relevant to this article, “How does eating fried chicken cure breast cancer?” Because if you ask those question, you’ll get some surprising answers: The cancer industry isn’t even looking for cures for cancer, folks. The cancer scam is just too profitable. It’s a sweet gig and they’re raking in billions of dollars from gullible consumers who continue to be victimized by this fraudulent cancer industry and its dishonest non-profit front groups. This whole idea that you can cure cancer by ordering junk at fast food restaurants is so ludicrous and retarded that when I first saw this, I thought for sure it was a late April Fool’s joke. But no, this is no joke. The reputation of Komen for the Cure may be a joke now, but the “Buckets for the Cure” campaign is quite real. These silly people are seriously fronting buckets of fried chicken and claiming that if you keep eating more fried chicken, they will find the cure for cancer. What a con. Just an outright fraud. These people should frankly just be arrested and prosecuted for fraud. This is mass-marketing fraud at its worst. Pinkwashing has a new champion: Buckets for the Cure! Here are some comments on this story from PRWatch.org: Can Eating Junk Food Cure Breast Cancer? From the Center for Media and Democracy (http://www.prwatch.org/node/9017) Submitted by Anne Landman on April 21, 2010 When a company promotes pink-ribboned products and claims to care about breast cancer and while also selling products linked to disease or injury, it’s called pinkwashing, and pinkwashing has taken some pretty outrageous forms in the last few years. Ford, Mercedes and BMW have all urged people to buy and drive cars in the name of breast cancer, but exhaust from internal combustion engines contains toxic chemicals that are linked to disease. The Yoplait yogurt company sold pink-lidded yogurt to raise money for breast cancer, while manufacturing products with milk from cows stimulated by the artificial hormone RBGH, which studies show increase the risk of breast cancer. (Some yogurt companies, including Yoplait, have stopped using RGBH.) There’s even a breast cancer awareness gun, and we thought that took the cake. “Buckets for the Cure” Now KFC is offering yet another new example of pinkwashing: selling pink buckets of fried chicken to “end breast cancer forever.” In an ironic twist, KFC’s “Buckets for the Cure” campaign urges people to buy buckets of unhealthy food to help cure a disease that kills women. The American Institute for Cancer Research says there is “convincing evidence” that excess body fat increases the risk of postmenopausal breast cancer. Obesity is also tied to shorter survival rates for women who develop breast cancer. Like most fast food chains, KFC has an overwhelming presence in communities known to have poor health outcomes, and the Susan G. Komen Foundation certainly must know that such social inequities effect breast cancer mortality rates. Given all this, “Buckets for the Cure” is a particularly disturbing pinkwashing partnership.
