ASA sues Obama Administration for interfering with state, local medical marijuana laws

With a lawsuit, ASA hopes to finally put an end to this type of federal government oppression of medical marijuana both in California, and in the other states that have legalized the plant. “Although the Obama Administration is entitled to enforce federal marijuana laws, the Tenth Amendment forbids it from using coercive tactics to commandeer the law-making functions of the State,” said ASA Chief Counsel Joe Elford, who filed the lawsuit in San Francisco’s Federal District Court. “This case is aimed at restoring California’s sovereign and constitutional right to establish its own public health laws based on this country’s federalist principles.” For the first time ever, a recent Gallup poll shows that most Americans now support legalizing marijuana. UK hospital staff heartlessly left man to die in hallway, ten hours later dragged his corpse away

Lance Armstrong used illegal doping substances, says a second ex-teammate

Hamilton and Armstrong were teammates on the U.S. Postal Service team in 1999, 2000 and 2001. Hamilton said in the interview that Armstrong used EPO, which is used to boost the number of oxygen-carrying blood cells thereby improving stamina, during the first of his seven Tour de France victories in 1999, and again to prepare for the 2000 and 2001 races. In arbitration between Armstrong and SCA Promotions (over the payment of a bonus he was due for winning the Tour), former teammate Frankie Andreu and his wife, Betsy, said under oath that in ’96 Armstrong admitted to medical staff that he had doped with EPO , growth hormone, testosterone and other drugs. In a Sports Illustrated story in January, Armstrong is said to have returned at least three tests in the 1990s that indicated testosterone doping. When requested by the USOC to confirm the results by testing the B samples, Don Catlin, the anti-doping scientist whose laboratory performed the procedure, was allegedly unable to confirm two. The result of the third was not addressed by Catlin in the materials the SI reporters discovered. Former Armstrong soigneur Emma O’Reilly told journalist David Walsh that, in ’99, the team forged a backdated prescription to explain a positive test in Stage 1 of the Tour. In the e-mails to cycling officials obtained by the Wall Street Journal and other publications, Landis alleged that Armstrong told him that Bruyneel and Armstrong flew to UCI headquarters in Switzerland to make a financial agreement with UCI president Hein Verbruggen to suppress a positive test result Armstrong generated at the Tour of Switzerland. USDA fines family four million dollars for selling bunny rabbits

(NaturalNews) When the Dollarhite family of Nixa, Mo., first started raising and selling bunnies as part of a lesson to teach their teenage son about responsibility and hard work, they had no idea they would eventually meet the heavy hand of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA). According to a recent article covered in Breitbart’s Big Government , the USDA recently ordered the Dollarhite family to pay more than $90,000 in fines because they sold more than $500 worth of rabbits in a year — and if they fail to pay the fine by Monday, May 23, the fine will multiply to nearly $4 million. It all started back in 2006 when John Dollarhite and his wife Judy rescued two rabbits that ended up breeding. The family cared for and raised the new rabbits, and eventually began to sell them to neighbors, friends, and others for $10 or $15 each. Having started by first selling the animals for meat, and later for show, the Dollarhites carefully and humanely raised the small creatures on their three-acre homestead, all while teaching their son honest values in a business environment similar to running a small lemonade stand. Eventually, the Dollarhites developed such a highly-respected reputation across Missouri that the popular Branson, Mo., theme park Silver Dollar City, and even a local pet store, Petland, began purchasing bunnies from the family in 2009. And according to John, individuals from both Silver Dollar City and Petland, as well as a rabbit competition judge, told him that the family’s bunnies were among the best they had ever seen — healthy, beautiful, and very well-cared for. All seemed well until a USDA inspector showed up at the family’s home in the fall of 2009, and asked to do a “spot inspection” of the rabbitry. The inspector made no indication that anything was amiss, but only that she wished to see the facility. After meandering the premises, the inspector claimed that a few very insignificant aspects of the raising facility were in violation of USDA standards, even though the Dollarhites were not USDA certified, nor were they required to be. She then asked if the Dollarhites wished to be part of the voluntary USDA certification system, upon which they told her they would look into it. After the inspector left, the Dollarhites heard nothing more from the USDA until January 2010 when a Kansas City-based USDA inspector called the family and said he needed to have a meeting with them because they sold more than $500 worth of rabbits in a single year. When the Dollarhites asked why this was a problem and what law this violated, the man refused to offer an explanation over the phone. Upon meeting in person, the inspector said he was only there to investigate the rabbitry and take notes for a report, upon which he instructed the family to contact another USDA office if they failed to hear anything further from the USDA after six weeks. As the eighth week arrived without any communication, John called the office and was redirected to the Washington, DC, office where a lady shockingly and bluntly explained to him that she had his report, and that the USDA planned to prosecute him and his family “to the maximum that we can” in order to “make an example” out of him. Shortly thereafter, the Dollarhites received a letter from the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) ordering them to pay a fine of $90,643 for supposedly violating a mystery law that prohibits the selling of more then $500 in rabbits within a year, even though the Dollarhites were in full accordance with Missouri state law, did not sell their rabbits across state lines, and raised their rabbits humanely and in excess of minimum requirements. The letter outlined that the Dollarhites had until May 23 to pay the exorbitant fine, or else face additional fines totaling nearly $4 million — all for selling about $4,600 worth of rabbits that netted the family a mere $200 in profits. The whole scenario proves, once again, that the USDA is nothing more than a tag-team terrorist duo with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). CDC warns Americans to prepare for zombie apocalypse (really)

(NaturalNews) Although it may seem unbelievable, this is not a satire piece or a joke. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control, which has been deeply engaged in the fictions of Swine Flu and other so-called “pandemics,” is now publicly warning Americans to prepare for a zombie apocalypse . In a May 16th blog entry on the CDC.gov website (http://blogs.cdc.gov/publichealthmatters/2011/05/preparedness-101-zombie-apocalypse/), author Ali S. Khan asks the question, “Where do zombies come from and why do they love eating brains so much?” The article then goes on to suppose that “zombies would take over entire countries, roaming city streets eating anything living that got in their way. The proliferation of this idea has led many people to wonder – How do I prepare for a zombie apocalypse?” The CDC has apparently been listening to my hip-hop song Vaccine Zombie (http://www.naturalnews.com/vaccine_zombie.html) and decided to run with the concept. Vaccines, of course, are the real source of zombies because they eat your brain (and cause autism, too). For some reason, the CDC didn’t mention that… Government preparedness tips… much like military intelligence The CDC’s zombie apocalypse article is, of course, an effort to reach a younger crowd by appealing to mainstream youth interests which now include anything having to do with vampires and zombies. The article actually offers a useful but rudimentary set of preparedness tips that include gathering up emergency medicine supplies, food, water and tools. Some of the strategies include preparing all your “important documents” such as your passport and birth certificate. This is obviously based on the idea that you are going to be relocated and will probably end up as a refugee of some sort (in a FEMA camp, no doubt). So remember to bring your birth certificate. Of course, if you don’t actually have a birth certificate, you can always use Photoshop to create one from a collage of random scanned documents and no one will notice the difference these days. Not even the mainstream media. Not surprisingly, the CDC also strongly suggests that you should bring your medications with you, because of course the entire U.S. public has already been infected with a zombie-like medical mythology that causes them to believe the human body is somehow deficient in prescription drugs. Without their meds, people think they might die! Although there are a few cases where this is true, by and large medications harm far more people than they help. But that’s another story… CDC: Do not defend yourself against the attacking zombies One thing the CDC has utterly left out of its preparedness list, not surprisingly, is any kind of self defense weapon . Zombie lore is rife with all kinds of weapons: shotguns, chain saws, flamethrowers, swords and knives. Hand grenades, explosives and rockets are also prominently featured in zombie flicks. These weapons are usually what save the movie characters from being overrun by marauding zombies. But the CDC says nothing about weapons. Not even a basic combat knife or a 22 pistol to keep handy. I guess the idea of people preparing for emergencies with some citizen weaponry isn’t something the government wants to encourage, huh? Just be sure to have your papers in order but not your personal safety. Instead, the CDC says it will save you. “Never Fear – CDC is Ready!” it says. It goes on to explain: CDC would provide technical assistance to cities, states, or international partners dealing with a zombie infestation. This assistance might include consultation, lab testing and analysis, patient management and care, tracking of contacts, and infection control (including isolation and quarantine). “Infection control” means arrested infected people at gunpoint and moving them into “infection zones” where everybody is infected and anyone who tries to flee is shot. That’s how a quarantine actually works, in case you didn’t know. Ask the CDC yourself if you don’t believe me. How to get yourself killed? Follow the CDC So here’s the CDC’s advice so far. If there’s a zombie apocalypse, then according to the CDC you’re supposed to evacuate with your prescription medications and your birth certificate, then head out into the zombie-infested world without a weapon? And then somehow you’re supposed to magically survive a zombie assault long enough for the CDC to come quarantine you and your neighbors because you’ve probably already been exposed since you were totally defenseless. Gee, is there any doubt this is a government plan? Don’t protect yourself, folks, the government will save you! Grab your passport (they’ll be checking your papers at police checkpoints) and remember your meds (because that will keep you docile and suggestible), but don’t bring anything like a 45-caliber Glock pistol that might actually help you fend off the zombies. Or a pump action Remington 12 gauge with a couple hundred extra rounds of home defense shells. Seriously, you can’t have a zombie invasion without a 12 gauge shotgun being involved, can ya? Or some 40mm grenade launchers . That’s how you really take out a bunch of zombies. At least that’s how it works in Hollywood. If you’re in a city where you’re not allowed to own firearms, you can always try to fight off the zombies with golf clubs . That never works out very well in the zombie movies, however. Just so you know. Hey, even I used to respect the CDC as a serious agency that was dedicated to trying to stop infectious disease, but after the swine flu situation, it became completely obvious that the CDC is now just Big Pharma’s vaccine pimp squad. They might as well just start interviewing fairies, leprechauns and garden gnomes, too. They’re about as credible as CDC scientists these days. But at least the CDC’s preparedness advice offers tidbits of real value: Have an emergency kit with food, water, tools and first aid. That’s more than what President Obama says. Why a zombie apocalypse may be more real than you think The average American consumer is already a half-zombie right now. They eat prion-infected meat; they drink fluoride in the water; they get vaccinated every year with neurological irritants (adjuvants); they watch network television news for “programming” and they take psychiatric medications that alter their brain chemistry. That pushes quite a large number of them into the “functioning zombie” realm of cognitive dysfunction. In other words, they still manage to dress themselves, eat some food, use the toilet and punch a time card working some government job, but behind the apparent human face, they are already 50% zombie . It won’t take much to push these near-zombies over the edge into total zombiehood. A bit of radiation, a couple more winter flu shots, or even a series of neurologically-engineered red flashes broadcast on the evening news could activate the zombie brains of the American masses, causing them to spill out into the streets in their underwear, with Doritos crumbling down the front of their wife beater T-shirts, mouths gaping wide open as they stumble down the sidewalks of America’s suburbs looking for fresh flesh to feed upon. This part is not fiction, by the way. I’m serious about this. The zombie mind of the masses has already been prepped by mercury poisoning, pesticides, fluoride, aspartame and other chemical exposures. It will only take the right trigger to unleash the zombie masses, at which point you will definitely wish you went beyond the CDC’s silly advice and got yourself a 12 gauge (or a really good pair of sneakers with which to flee). The real question is: Do you have enough zombie ammo? And how fast can you reload? Sadly, the CDC did not address these questions. The truth is that most people do not have much zombie ammo at all, so after a few rounds, it’s going to be like click … pause… gobble, gobble, slurp . And then suddenly you’re a zombie and you’ll be roaming the streets of a large American city looking for fresh flesh, much like a Congressman or the head of the IMF. Truthfully, we need more fiction In a way, I actually kind of admire this fictional approach by the CDC. I wish more government agencies would just admit they’re writing fictions from the get go. Wouldn’t it be more useful for us all if the DEA, for example, just admitted its entire War On Drugs was one great big fiction? Wouldn’t it save us all a few trillion dollars if the Department of War (oops, I mean, the Department of Defense) openly admitted that its multiple imperialist wars were all based on fictional justifications? I think other U.S. departments should take a cue from the CDC and start writing fictions to explain all their actions. It would be a lot more entertaining and, in a strange way, actually more honest. The White House, of course, has a huge head start in this realm going all the way back to George W. Bush and his “war on terror” — which is the intellectual equivalent to the CDC’s “zombie apocalypse.” Both are entirely imaginary, yet useful as metaphors for the weak-minded. The bottom line is that you and I should always be prepared to protect ourselves not only from unexpected events but also from the government’s bizarre, distorted attempts to feed our brains conveniently processed tidbits of disinformation. And if zombies really do hit the streets, bring out your flamethrower and get to work like a contestant in a flame-broiled frying contest. Somebody has to save humanity during the next outbreak of mental madness, and it sure won’t be the CDC.

The people of Japan

(NaturalNews) In Japan today we are witnessing a noble people being put to the test. In fact the entire world, with all its peoples and governments, are going to be tested against the sheer power of nuclear contamination that knows little of time and space. Radiation moves rather freely through space and some forms of it stay around for so long we might as well say forever. This catastrophe comes at an especially bad moment compounding other disasters just waiting to happen in areas of finance, economics, agriculture, worldwide pollution and toxicity, massive nutritional deficiencies in vital minerals and other nutrients. Taking the first hit though are the Japanese people and they are showing us their character. One of my faithful readers KazBradly from Australia wrote, “Regarding Japan, I was meditating the other night and was sending love and appreciation to the Japanese people who were trying so hard to contain their disaster and all I could feel was the wonderful sense of love, honor and duty that the nuclear plant employees had whilst they were risking their lives for the greater good. People leave their front doors open, as it is safer when an earthquake strikes. People keep saying, ‘Oh, this is how it used to be in the old days when everyone helped one another. Quakes keep coming. Last night they struck about every 15 minutes. Sirens are constant and helicopters pass overhead often.No one has washed for several days. We feel grubby, but there are so much more important concerns than that for us now. When you calculate looming food shortages and horrendous price increases, radically changing climate, impending financial and economic collapse with revolution and government oppression, worldwide pollution and toxic poisoning of populations, we should be able to see that the quality of life for billions of people is on the downswing. Some, if not many, people are actually happy about such events as they feel that a reduction of the world population would be a good thing. They have for years been building their underground shelters. Today companies in the business of helping people dig holes in the ground are booming, yet I wonder what kind of life they will find there. A friend of mine insisted that I was wrong to be building my Sanctuary above ground and that I too should dig a hole for myself and my family. Thanks but no thanks; I would rather die above ground. I cannot even convince my wife to move out of the comforts of the beautiful coastal city we live in on the northeast coast of Brazil to the relative safety of my retreat and survival center in the interior highlands; imagine my chances of getting her to live in a hole. Life, in part, is actually a long preparation for death. How we die is important as is how we live. Minnesota attorney general files lawsuit against 3M for years of environmental pollution

(NaturalNews) Minnesota attorney general Lori Swanson is determined to hold the 3M Company, one of the world’s largest multinational corporations based near St. Paul, responsible for years of environmental pollution that tainted the Mississippi River and contaminated water supplies in the east-metro area of the Twin Cities. Swanson recently filed a lawsuit against 3M requesting that the company pay for residual cleanup costs associated with the pollution it caused. “The company caused damage to the environment,” Swanson is quoted as saying in the Star Tribune . “We are simply asking, let’s make it right.” For many years, 3M was dumping perfluorochemicals, or PFCs, into the environment. PFCs do not decompose, and they gradually build up in the environment over time. The Environmental Working Group (EWG) indicates that the chemicals cause brain, nervous system, and organ damage, as well as reproductive and developmental problems, autoimmune disorders, and cancer (http://www.ewg.org/chemindex/term/496). A spokesman from 3M, however, denies the allegations. He told reporters that PFCs are “not hazardous,” and that any water contaminated by the company’s PFCs is below government safety thresholds. But tell that to the numerous residents in the metro area near the 3M plant whose water wells were ruined by PFCs, or the water drilling project of the nearby city of Lake Elmo, Minn., that ultimately failed due to PFC levels that exceeded state safety thresholds. One resident told the Star Tribune that he and his wife drank PFC-contaminated well water for years without knowing it, which ultimately led to his wife dying of cancer. Though 3M has already paid out several millions of dollars to help remediate certain aspects of the damage caused by its pollution, Swanson does not believe it is enough. If successful, her lawsuit will be one of the first to hold a large corporation responsible for damage it caused to the environment many years prior.
